Light to moderate to at times heavy rainfall with strong winds is experienced in some areas Toril District. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall is experienced in some areas of Talomo and Tugbok Districts.

Furthermore, light rainfall is experienced in some areas of Agdao, Bunawan, and Poblacion Districts.

Other areas of Davao City are experiencing cloudy conditions with scattered rain (mostly drizzling).

All river channels are monitored at 𝐂𝐎𝐃𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍 (𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭).

Again, this will be the first in PH!

Davao City’s council has moved forward with an ordinance to give the City Central 911 Command Center the ability to pinpoint emergency callers using GPS data. The system — to be called SERAL-CARED — will connect callers’ location coordinates with the city’s dispatch platform so responders can see where help is needed in real time. That reduces the need for callers to describe landmarks or streets, which can be slow or inaccurate during stressful situations.

The magnitude 7.4 earthquake (downgraded from 7.6) that struck off Manay, Davao Oriental, at 9:43 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, was caused by movement along the Philippine Trench, not by a fault line, according to Phivolcs.

In partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Davao City Chapter, our barangay successfully conducted the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) / Earthquake Drill Orientation and Training last July 24, 2025!

This initiative was held in celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRRM) and aimed to raise awareness and strengthen the disaster preparedness of our community.

With the barangay officials, barangay tanod, and barangay responders participated in the training, gaining essential knowledge on:
✅ Earthquake risks and hazards
✅ Proper response protocols (Duck, Cover, and Hold)
✅ Emergency evacuation and crowd management
✅ Roles and coordination during earthquake scenarios

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine Red Cross Davao City Chapter for making this training possible in promoting community safety and resilience.

Our Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Bago Gallera has completed the 5-day Tri-Skills Technical Response Training held last June 2–6, 2025, and is now officially certified by the Bureau of Fire Protection as a Barangay Fire Brigade! 🔥🚒

A total of 19 participants completed the course, gaining essential skills in fire safety and emergency response.

We extend our deepest thanks to BFP Talomo and BFP SRF for facilitating the training, and to BDRRMC Talomo and BDRRMC Lizada for generously lending their fire truck during the Firefighting training and Simulation Exercises.

We are also sincerely grateful to SK Chairperson Hon. Rhea Mae Gervacio and Barangay Captain Hon. Engr. Rey Gervacio, thank you for your continuous support of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC).

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Sangguniang Kabataan Council for assisting the trainees and ensuring that all five days of training were well-provided with food; your support truly helped keep everyone energized and focused.

This accomplishment strengthens our community's commitment to disaster preparedness, response, and public service.
