BACK TO ZERO.
The bronze medals are still new in the trophy case.
Last May in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, the Davao City National High School Boys Volleyball Team — wearing Davao Region Eagles — fought its way to a historic bronze in the Palarong Pambansa 2026 secondary boys volleyball. NCR and CALABARZON played for gold, but it was City High that stood on the podium, helping power Davao City to its best national finish as the 5th best SDO out of 220 nationwide.
Then the team graduated. Just like that.
This SY 2026-2027, DCNHS is back to zero.
Walk into the campus gym and you’ll hear it immediately. It’s the same gym, but a different team. Raw. Still developing. Shanks, mistimed quicks, serves in the net.
But the hallmarks are still there.
That’s City High volleyball: first ball is life. Low, stubborn defense. Relentless floor coverage. You have to kill them three times to score. That DNA won the bronze in Agusan, and it’s the only thing Coach made non-negotiable for the rebuild.
Everything else is new.
New captain. The energetic guy from last year’s bench, but reliable. He watched the Palaro mostly from the sidelines last May. Now he has to lead the huddle.
New setters. Both Palaro setters graduated. That’s losing your brain. The connection isn’t there yet. Every day is a negotiation of tempo.
New big-time players. Previously bench and role players from the Palaro 2026 Team now ready to step in and step up in the role.
They know what people will say: REBUILDING YEAR
They don’t see it that way. Last year’s team defended a legacy. This team is forging an identity. There’s nothing to defend, only something to build.
The bronze belongs to history. This team is 0-0.

CLUSTER 1 CHAMPIONS!
The Davao City National High School Boys Volleyball Team takes the crown at the Cluster 1 Sports Meet today! Slowly building a new identity, but still with the same heart — the same kugi and sacrifices that define us. This win is a product of unselfish plays, trust, and hard work. More trainings, more improvements, more unselfishness — the work doesn't stop here. Padayon, DCNHS!

Padayon, Davao City National High School Boys Volleyball! 🏐💚💛
Always the same late-night practices under these same lights — tired legs, loud echoes, and a circle that kept getting tighter. Some faces are familiar, some are new, stepping up when it mattered most, carrying the same hunger to prove that City High never backs down. Tomorrow, July 25, 2026, that huddle breaks and the real journey begins at the Cluster 1 Sports Meet — not just as a team with renewed goals and unbreakable commitment, but as brothers who chose hard work over comfort. This is just the beginning. May the odds be in our favor.

Congratulations to our Davao City NHS 15 & Under Boys for clinching the Bronze Medal at the MVA–Atletang Batang Pinoy (ABP) Legacy Global Filipino Beach Volleyball Invitational Tournament! 🥉🏐
At such a young age, our boys showed the heart of a fighter. Yes, there were moments of jitters and immature mistakes—errors that come with learning—but you never backed down. Point after point, set after set, you dug deep, rallied together, and fought with that unmistakable Green and Gold sukol.
You proved that grit isn’t measured by years, but by the courage to rise after every fall and the pride to carry our school’s colors on the sand. The world saw your potential, your passion, and your promise.
We are beyond proud of you, Mikey Bedua, Martin Angelo Atacador, Kieth Abrille R. Hermosilla, and Danrie Daniolco who was also awarded the Best Blocker of the Tournament! This bronze is just the beginning. Padayon, Davao City NHS! 💚💛
Shout out Mami Melanie Ramirez, mentor, coach, mami mami.

DCNHS Spikers Set to Make Waves in Boracay
The Davao City National High School (DCNHS) Boys Volleyball 15-and-Under team is ready to represent Green&Gold pride on the sands of Boracay as they compete in the MVA–Atletang Batang Pinoy (ABP) Legacy Global Filipino Beach Volleyball Invitational Tournament slated from July 4 to 9, 2026.
Carrying the pride and hopes are young aces Mikey Bedua, Martin Angelo Atacador, Kieth Abrille R. Hermosilla, and Danrie Daniolco, who will battle Filipino squads from across the country under the guidance of coach and mentor Mami Melanie Ramirez. For these four Batang Pinoy athletes, the tournament is more than just a competition — it’s a chance to showcase DCNHS grit, gain exposure, and inspire fellow young Dabawenyo volleyball players to dream bigger beyond the court.

UNDER RENOVATION
DCNHS Boys Volleyball is back on the court and under renovation. As the team kicks off training for the upcoming season, the phrase ia about the rebuild happening within the squad itself. With the old gym floors, bleachers, and nets strung up between ladders and caution tape, the Green&Gold boys aren’t waiting for perfect conditions to put in the work. Every serve, dig, and spike echoes louder in the gym as seniors sharpen their form and new recruits learn the system from the ground up. The dust, the noise, and the grind only fuel their drive. For DCNHS Boys Volleyball, “under renovation” means upgrading the team’s grit, chemistry, and game, one training day at a time.
