"16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being," (Ephesians 3:16)
In our Journey as Christians, we often encounter moments where our strength wanes, and our resolve weakens. Life's challenges, uncertainties, and trials can weigh heavy upon us, threatening to shake our faith or throw us off course.
However, in the midst of these storms, we have a source of strength to draw on that is far bigger than ourselves. When our strength begins to run out, we discover that we are not running our race alone.
Paul's prayer tells us that when we feel our strength running low, we need to remember that we are not running our race alone. God is with us, every step of the way. When we are exhausted or overwhelmed, we can experience that feeling of a strong pair of arms picking us up, filing us up with all that we need, and restoring us to full strength.
God does not only pick us up and help us limp across the finish line. He picks us up, cleans us up, restores in the very depths of our being, and then sends us on our way in a position of supernatural strength.
Deuteronomy 33: 27 "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms."
LAYUP and PRAY UP
We play and pray together for the Glory of God and layup others for Christ.
"12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence." Ephesians 3:12
If we are 'in Christ' then it doesn't matter what we've done, who we once were, how low we have felt, 'in him' we can have complete confidence to draw close to God with boldness and confidence. We can ask him for anything, talk to Him about anything today, knowing full well that because we are 'in Christ', we are welcome. this is an extraordinary promise.
It is one thing to believe in God; it is another to trust that God believes in you!
Romans 8:1-4 "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.'
Have you ever felt trapped in a cycle of guilt and shame about things you regret? Does you past hold you back from pursuing your future? Do guilt and shame make it difficult for you to experience God's love?
Allow me to remind you today through God's words and let these words from today's passage resonate in your heart:
"There is no condemnation"- you have been set completely free from the sin and shame of your past. Shame wants to tell you that you are unworthy and unloved. The Bible tells you that you are deeply loved, chosen by God, and completely forgiven by Him. Our wrongdoing is not only forgiven by God, but completely forgotten. (Psalm 103:12) "as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."
It can be difficult for us to forget and move past our mistakes, but it is not difficult for God. He has forgiven you completely, and He promises that when He forgives you, He also makes the choice to forget. He blots out our past and gives us a sparkling, brand new future.
YOU ARE NOT DEFINED BY YOUR WORST MOMENT, YOUR ARE DEFINED BY JESUS' BEST MOMENT.
Your past is forgiven, forgotten, the slate wiped completely clean.
Take this affirmation, based on today's Scripture into your day, and remind yourself of it any time you feel bogged down about the past: "THERE IS NOW NO CONDEMNATION FOR ME."
