The squad showed good balance in attack, with goals coming from multiple players rather than relying on a single scorer. Many matches were decided by narrow margins, however, highlighting opportunities to improve chance creation and finishing in the final third.

Defensively, the team was outstanding, conceding only one goal in open play throughout the entire tournament while recording four clean sheets. Quitoy provided confidence and consistency in goal, Remollo and Tatoy delivered discipline and stability along the back line, and veteran defender Quio anchored the defense with leadership, organization, and experience.

Thank you to all players, families, and supporters for your continued trust and backing. Special mention to Ericka Jane and Desiree for supporting their clubmates from the sidelines. The work continues.

Mango Ranch Football Tournament 2026
Greywolves 16 and Under Category

⚠️ Warning: This is a lengthy post, as Coach James would like to document the details for future reference.

Summary
The Greywolves 16U team showed encouraging structure and teamwork throughout the tournament, highlighted by their 2–1 win over Dauin FC where they converted chances well and stayed composed under pressure. However, consistency was a challenge across matches, especially against older, stronger, and more organized opponents. The tournament served as an important developmental experience, exposing the players to higher physical and tactical demands.

A memorable highlight for the players was seeing Azkals standouts Jarvey Gayoso and Sandro Reyes during the event, an inspiring moment for the young athletes. The team also had the opportunity to share moments and huddle together with Don Bosco Liloan, strengthening camaraderie within the Bosconian community.

Lineup
Lleanna Ysabelle (15) DB Grade 11 - Added Summer 2026
Yzabelle Jacob (15) DB Grade 10
Chloe Abbygail (15) Colegio de San Pedro-Recoletos

Gabriela Sabattini (12) RTPM-Dumaguete Science High School - Added Summer 2026

Volunteer Assistant Coach
Alianna Dre Hadasa

Roster Overview
The squad combined core Greywolves players, summer additions, and loaned players from DB Liloan. With most players born 2012 and younger, the group competed in an older 16U division, making this a valuable exposure experience for development and growth.

Results
Loss 0–3 vs DB Liloan
Win 2–1 vs Dauin Fc
Loss 0–3 vs San Miguel National High School
Quarterfinal Loss 0–4 vs Tanjay FC

Offensive Output
Goals
Gabriela Sabattini 1
Yzabelle Jacob 1

Assist
Lleanna Ysabelle 1

Key Takeaways
The team is still developing chemistry due to recent additions and age gaps within the squad. While attacking output was shared across players, defensive organization and transitions remain key areas for improvement. Despite the results, the experience gained against stronger opposition is valuable for long-term growth of the Greywolves program.

Big tournament for Lyza Quitoy in goal for Don Bosco Greywolves FC Women’s Team at Mango Ranch Football Tournament 2026.

5 clean sheets in 6 games, and only 1 goal conceded from open play in the semis. She also came up big in the bronze match shootout with a key penalty save, but the team eventually lost on a coin toss after.

Still her best tournament so far, solid and clutch throughout.

Kudos Lyza 👏 of Colegio de San Pedro-Recoletos
Advance happy 17th birthday 🎉
