A recent fire in Purok 10, Tambacan, Iligan City has left many families displaced, taking away not only their homes but also the comfort and security they once knew. As they begin the difficult journey of recovery, they need our compassion and support.

The Rotaract Club of Metro Iligan is launching a Fire Relief Donation Drive to help provide essential assistance to the affected families. We warmly invite everyone to extend a helping hand through cash or in-kind donations. Every contribution, no matter the size, can help restore hope and bring relief to those in need.

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿!

Today marks the beginning of Rotary Year 2026–2027, and with it, I humbly begin my journey as the District Rotaract Representative of Rotary International District 3870 – The Heart of Mindanao.

To be entrusted with this role is both an honor and a responsibility that I accept with gratitude, humility, and a heart ready to serve. As I officially assume this position, I do so not because I have all the answers, but because I believe in the incredible potential of every Rotaractor in our district. Together, we can achieve far more than any one person ever could.

This Rotary Year, our Rotary International President, Olayinka Hakeem Babalola, calls upon us to "Create Lasting Impact." It is a reminder that our service should never be measured only by the projects we accomplish, but by the lives we touch, the communities we empower, and the legacy we leave behind.

As your District Rotaract Representative, I hope to complement this vision through our district theme, "Building Lasting Friendship." Because before we can create lasting impact, we must first build lasting friendships—friendships founded on trust, respect, collaboration, inclusivity, and our shared passion for service. When we genuinely know, support, and uplift one another, our service becomes more meaningful, our leadership becomes stronger, and our district becomes one united family.

I also look forward to working hand in hand with our Rotary family under the leadership of our District Governor, Maureen Cacabelos, whose message of collaboration and partnership reminds us that service is always stronger when we work together. May Rotarians and Rotaractors continue to stand side by side, united by one purpose and one vision of creating positive change in our communities.

As we begin this new chapter, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our Immediate Past District Rotaract Representative, IPDRR John Myco Entienza Ermac, for your dedicated leadership, unwavering commitment, and the foundation you have built for our district. Thank you for leading with passion and purpose. Congratulations on a remarkable Rotary Year, and thank you for inspiring the next generation of leaders.

To our incoming District Officers, Club Presidents, Club Officers, advisers, and every Rotaractor across District 3870—congratulations and best of luck as we embark on this new Rotary Year. Each of you has an important role to play, and I know that together, we can accomplish extraordinary things.

Let us embrace this year with open minds, willing hands, and compassionate hearts. Let us choose collaboration over competition, understanding over division, and friendship over familiarity. Let us strengthen our clubs, empower our members, and inspire our communities through meaningful and sustainable service.
