𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 | 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁

The elementary Doves posted notable finishes across several events at the City Meet, collecting medals and securing spots in the R1AA in chess, badminton, lawn tennis, and swimming.

In Chess, Alessandra Elise A. Merlan topped the Girls’ Elementary division, earning gold in the individual category. She also secured gold in the Standard Group and Rapid Individual events, along with a bronze in Blitz Group. Luis Jonas Zeus P. Rubio added silver medals in both Standard Individual and Group, while also taking bronze in Blitz Individual, Blitz Group, and Rapid Group. Both Merlan and Rubio earned R1AA qualification.

In Badminton, Grade 5 player James C. Leaño III captured gold in Boys’ Singles, earning an R1AA qualification and the Elementary championship.
Meanwhile, Lawn Tennis saw Felix Theodore A. Raquel take silver in Boys’ Singles and qualify for the R1AA. In Girls’ Doubles, Maria Isabelle L. Gongora and Victoria Rafaguel A. Manikan secured gold.

The Doves also made their mark in Swimming, with Micay earning two golds, one silver, and three bronzes across the relay and individual events. Macoy added a silver and bronze in the 50-meter Butterfly and 50-meter Breaststroke, respectively.
Other elementary representatives included Julian Marcus C. Catubay, Nathalia Claire C. Mayubay, Sabrina Kassandra Ysabelle Pizarro, Muriel Neriah Q. Manangan, Julia Ysabelle C. Catubay, Elijah Liam A. Manikan, and Keilah C. Mariano.

With podium finishes and R1AA qualifications across multiple events, the elementary Doves continue to carry ICA into the next level of competition.

ICA crowns its new Mr. and Ms. Palaro 2026

The final day of the ICA Palaro 2026 culminated in one of the most anticipated events of the annual intramurals, the search for the new Mr. and Ms. ICA Palaro 2026.

With one crown, one title, and the opportunity to represent the school in the InterHigh at stake, representatives from different teams took the stage and showcased confidence, talent, and school spirit.

From their opening introductions to the final question-and-answer portion, each candidate stepped up to the challenge and gave their best to prove their readiness to represent their respective teams and the entire school.

More than a celebration of beauty and personality, the pageant highlighted the candidates’ confidence, determination, and ability to carry themselves with pride and purpose. Cheers from the crowd filled the venue as the competition reached its highly anticipated conclusion.

In the end, the newly crowned Mr. and Ms. ICA Palaro 2026 were Gabriel Adrian Fiesta Rabanal and Ayesa Jia Xiang Galindo, who will represent ICA in the search for Mr. and Ms. InterHigh 2026.

Meanwhile, 1st Runners-Up Zhienmer Gallego and Ryu Akieh Flojo will represent ICA in the upcoming Mr. and Ms. DLCES 2026. Followed by 2nd Runners-Up Dhana Kyle Dahilig and Serg Francis Caluya.

Isshiah Bethany Coloma and Ranz Tagatac were named 3rd Runners-Up, while Khyle Calaycay and Reign Quiroz earned the 4th Runner-Up titles.

As the curtains close on this year’s Palaro, each candidate leaves the stage having represented their teams with confidence, pride, and school spirit.

The ICA Palaro 2026 officially concluded following a series of competitions featuring students from the Elementary, Junior High School (Grades 7–10), and Senior High School (Grades 11–12).

Athletes competed in various sporting events, including volleyball, table tennis, basketball, and badminton, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the games.

The event brought together students across different grade levels in a celebration of athletic competition and school spirit, marking another year of the ICA Palaro.

na-ka-ka-pag-pa-ga-ba-ga-bag

𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗴 is a Filipino word used to describe something that causes a person to feel worried, anxious, troubled, or emotionally unsettled. It refers to a thought, situation, experience, or uncertainty that continuously occupies the mind and creates a feeling of uneasiness. It can be used when something makes you overthink, feel concerned about what might happen, or struggle to find peace of mind.

𝗜𝗻 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗸𝗮, nakakapagpagabagabag reminds us that language is more than a means of communication. It is a vessel of culture, identity, and collective experience. Words like this preserve the Filipino way of expressing emotions and understanding the world around us.

As we honor our language, we also honor the stories and emotions carried within it. 𝙉𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙜 is not merely a word for something troubling—it is a reminder of how deeply the Filipino language can capture the human experience.
