Lapu-Lapu Arnis De Abanico (LLADA), Inc. is a Filipino martial arts organization formally founded on April 27, 2012. The organization is dedicated to the preservation, development, and global promotion of Lapunti Arnis de Abanico, a classical Visayan system known for its fluid fan-like motions, speed, precision, and combat efficiency. The club proudly bears the name of 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐮 𝐋𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐮, symbolizing courage, independence, and the warrior spirit of the Filipino people.

LLADA, Inc. was founded by Jonel Espinosa Pepito, under the tutelage and guidance of his Grandmaster, Wilfredo Bacus Bacalso, a respected authority in Lapunti Arnis de Abanico and a senior figure of Lapunti Arnis de Abanico, the recognized mother club of the system. Through this lineage, LLADA, Inc. maintains authenticity, discipline, and adherence to traditional Filipino martial values.

Headquartered in Lapu-Lapu City, the organization actively trains students, athletes, instructors, and cultural performers. It plays a vital role in grassroots development, competitive Arnis, and cultural advocacy, working closely with schools, local government units, and national sports and cultural institutions.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲

Lapu-Lapu Arnis De Abanico, Inc. has significantly contributed to the global recognition of Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) by partnering with the Department of Tourism Region 7 through its FMA7 Program. With this, the group were given the opportunity to perform cultural presentations and demonstrations in various local, national, and international platforms. The club has proudly represented the Philippines in countries such as South Korea, Indonesia, Germany, and at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan. Through these performances, the organization showcased Arnis as both a living martial art and a powerful expression of Filipino culture and identity.

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

A significant milestone in the advancement of Arnis de Abanico was achieved through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Education and the Local Government Unit (LGU), which recognized the importance of Arnis as both a national sport and a cultural heritage. Through these efforts, a structured instructional module was crafted and developed for the inclusion of Arnis in the Physical Education (PE) curriculum, ensuring systematic, age-appropriate, and culturally grounded instruction for learners.

This initiative strengthened the institutionalization of Arnis in schools, empowered trained instructors, and provided students with formal access to Filipino Martial Arts as part of holistic education. LLADA, Inc. actively supports and participates in this advocacy by assisting in training, demonstrations, and program implementation—reinforcing the role of Arnis as a tool for physical fitness, discipline, character formation, and national identity.
