Tough match against former PFL team Manila Montet. It was a grueling game played under harsh conditions—a 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. kickoff in the scorching sun and on a small field where space was very limited.

We performed well in the first half, taking a 4–3 lead. In the second half, fatigue set in, and with limited substitutions, we even had to play with 10 men for a large portion of the game. Montet came back to lead 5–4, but we managed to equalize and secure a 5–5 draw.

A solid result against a strong side, and hopefully this opens the door for more matches against established teams in Manila.

Unknown provincial players just did what stars couldn’t.

Unknown… until now. Maybe not anymore…

It was supposed to be another routine win.

After a dominant 10–1 performance last week, Manila Montet came into this match as clear favorites. Experience, reputation, quality—everything pointed in one direction.

But football doesn’t care about expectations.

From the very first minutes, Jets FC showed something different. No big names, no spotlight—just intensity, discipline, and belief. They matched Manila Montet in every duel, every run, every moment.

And then the goals started to come.

Manila Montet responded, as you would expect from a team of that level. But every time they tried to take control, Jets FC answered back.
Not with fear—but with courage.

By half-time, it was already clear: this was not a normal game.

A team built with mostly young players from the provinces, facing one of the most known clubs… and leading.

In the second half, Manila Montet pushed. More possession, more pressure, more urgency. The reaction was there—but so was Jets FC.
They didn’t break.
They didn’t step back.
They kept fighting, kept believing, and kept scoring.

And even at the end… you could feel it—Jets FC were one goal away from something unforgettable.

For Manila Montet, it’s a result that keeps them unbeaten—but also a reminder. In football, nothing is given. And sometimes, hunger can match talent.

There is talent everywhere in the Philippines. In the provinces. In the shadows. Waiting for a chance.
