Three locally trained swimmers, Jasmine Mojdeh, Quendy Fernandez and Kyla Bulaga, have qualified to the 2025 Southeast Asian Games Philippine swimming team and are set to have their SEA Games debut in Thailand this December.

PH swim sensation Jasmine Mojdeh qualified in two events, the 100m and 200m Butterfly events.

Mojdeh took the gold in the 200m Fly event with a time of 2:18.18, beating the 2:18.26 SEA Games qualifying time.

On the last day of the national tryout, Mojdeh registered her 100m Fly best time of 1:01.89 to place second to Miranda Renner (1:01.79), and surpass the 1:02.19 SEA Ganes qualifying time.

Palawan's Quendy Fernandez is the first locally trained swimmer to secure her 2025 SEA Games ticket.

Fernandez,clocked 29.23 to sn**ch the Silver in the Women's 50m Backstroke event, hitting the SEA Games qualifying time of 29.94

Olympian Kayla Sanchez, who currently trains at University of British Columbia in Canada, wins the gold with 29.00; while SEA Games gold medalist Teia Salvino registered 29.85 for the bronze.

Meanwhile, 15 year old Kyla Louise Bulaga silently sneaked in to the SEA Games Philippine swimming team and shocked the entire PH swimming community by clocking 5:11.84 in the 400m Individual Medley event, placing second to SEA Games gold medalist Xiandi Chua (5:05.61), and beating the 5:13.05 qualifying time.

Bulaga, the pride of La Union, is an Asian Age Group Championship and SEA Age Group Championship veteran, and is a multi-awarded Batang Pinoy and Palarong Pambansa swimmer.

Her entry to the 2025 SEA Games national team is a testament that younger swimmers can actually make it to the SEA Games team. Tiwala lang na kaya mo!
