Manila, Philippines – Thousands of runners from various age groups and backgrounds gathered early Saturday morning at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila for the “Takbo Para sa Turismo” fun run, a celebration of the rich heritage and culture of the Philippines.

Participants, ranging from casual joggers to seasoned athletes, proudly wore the colors of the Philippine flag as they ran through the streets, symbolizing their love for the country’s history, landmarks, and traditions. The event aimed to promote tourism while highlighting the beauty of Filipino culture.

The fun run featured multiple categories, ensuring that people of all ages and fitness levels could join in the celebration. Runners cheered each other on, with local government officials and tourism advocates present to show their support for the event’s advocacy.

“This event is a wonderful way to bring people together while highlighting the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and promoting local tourism,” said one of the organizers.

Participants were also encouraged to share their experiences on social media, using the hashtag , to spread awareness and inspire others to explore the beauty of the Philippines.
