Some days at Kimud Shoal just feel unreal… and today was definitely one of them. 🦈✨

May already brings some of the best diving conditions in Malapascua — calm seas, crystal clear visibility and amazing shark encounters. But today was on another level.

Multiple thresher sharks, super close passes and pure underwater magic. 💙

Watching these graceful animals glide through the blue is something every diver should experience at least once in their life.

Thresher sharks are some of the most unique sharks in the ocean — from their incredible tail hunting technique to their deep-sea lifestyle.

Most of the time, they live hundreds of meters below the surface. But here in Malapascua, they rise into shallow water every morning to visit cleaning stations — making this one of the most special places in the world to encounter them.

Despite their size, they are shy, harmless to humans, and sadly endangered due to overfishing and bycatch ⚠️

Every encounter with these animals is a privilege — and another reason to protect them 💙

Kimud is famous for its Thresher Sharks—but every now and then, the ocean surprises us. From around Jan to Apr, when the water gets cooler, there’s always a chance to encounter something extra out in the blue…

We don’t go there for hammerheads—but sometimes, they show up as a bonus after an already incredible dive. And moments like this? They make it unforgettable.
