34 & Under Category — Tournament Mechanics

👥 TEAM COMPOSITION

Six (6) teams will compete.
Each team is composed of 4 female players.
Each team will have fixed pairings, with each pair assigned to a bracket:

Pair 1 → Bracket A
Pair 2 → Bracket B

Example: Team LADY STRIKERS fields Eve, Sarah, Mary, and Esther. Their fixed pairings are Eve–Sarah for Bracket A and Mary–Esther for Bracket B.

🔄 ROUND-ROBIN STAGE

Six (6) pairs will compete in a round-robin format per bracket (Bracket A and Bracket B).
Beat-the-Buzzer Format: Each game lasts 10 minutes.
No change of ends/courts at halftime.
No timeouts are allowed during games.
No stacking strategies are permitted.

🏆 SCORING SYSTEM
All games use Rally Scoring.

📊 STANDINGS & TEAM POINTS
After the round-robin stage, standings will be checked per bracket. Each standing carries equivalent points:

Standing - Points
1st seed - 6 points
2nd seed - 5 points
3rd seed - 4 points
4th seed - 3 points
5th seed - 2 points
6th seed - 1 point

The points of a team’s two pairs are added together to compute the team’s total points.

Example: If the Eve–Sarah pair (Bracket A) finishes as 2nd seed (5 points) and the Mary–Esther pair (Bracket 😎 finishes as 4th seed (3 points), Team LADY STRIKERS earns a total of 8 points.

🏅 PLAYOFF QUALIFICATION
Team rankings are determined by total points:
Top 2 teams (highest total points) → play for the Championship
3rd and 4th teams → play for the Battle for Bronze
5th and 6th teams → play for the Battle for 5th

Tie-Breaker Rules (Tied Team Standings):
- Two teams tied: The team that won over the other (head-to-head) takes the higher rank.
- Triple tie: A point differential will be conducted to determine the rankings.

⏱ GAME PLAY RULES
Beat-the-Buzzer Format: Each game lasts 10 minutes.

* Change of ends will occur after the 2nd game of each round/match.

🏆 SCORING SYSTEM
All games use Rally Scoring.
Points awarded per game won:
Games 1–3: 1 point per game won
Game 4: 2 points
No tie-breakers or dreambreakers. The cumulative points determine the winner of each team match outright.

✨ GOLDEN POINT RULE
If the score is tied when the buzzer sounds, a single Golden Point rally decides the game. The team that wins the rally wins the game.

🪙 PRE-GAME PROCEDURE
Before the tournament starts, team captains conduct a coin toss. The winning captain chooses either:
Serve (first serve), OR
Court side — Fence side or Bench side
This choice applies to all games throughout the match.

🚨 NO SUBSTITUTION POLICY
A player may play a maximum of 2 games per match.
No substitutions for late or absent players during the tournament.
If a scheduled player is late or absent for their game, the team must either:
Play with only 1 player, OR
Forfeit the game entirely.
No exceptions. Be on time. Be present. Be ready.

🩹 INJURY RULE
If either partner is injured and cannot continue during the match, the match is forfeited in favor of the opponent. Your safety and well-being always come first — on and off the court.

🔄 ROUND-ROBIN STAGE
All 4 teams will battle in the round-robin stage, competing across 3 rounds to determine the team standings.

🏅 PLAYOFF QUALIFICATION
After 3 rounds, the top two teams in the team standings will play for the Championship, while the bottom two teams will compete in the Battle for 3rd.

📅 Event Details & Schedule
• Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
• Location: The Courts of Cebu (Pres. Magsaysay St., Brgy. Kasambagan)
• Beneficiary: All proceeds go directly to supporting the children of the C.U.R.E. Foundation Philippines / Rancho ni Cristo.

• ⏰ Player Call Time: 8:30 AM – Please arrive early to check in with your team, complete registration, and stretch!
• ⏰ Program Starts: 9:00 AM
• ⏰ Games Begin: 9:30 AM sharp.

🚗 Parking Information

• First-Come, First-Served: Parking slots inside the venue complex are strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Carpooling: Because slots are limited, we highly encourage carpooling with your team of 4 to save space and hassle!

📋 Venue House Rules

• No Food & Drinks on Court: To keep the playing surface safe and clean, absolutely no food or beverages are allowed on the courts.
• Designated Eating Areas: Eating is strictly allowed in designated areas only. Please keep these spaces tidy!
• Footwear Check: Strictly non-marking, proper court shoes only to prevent court damage and injuries.
