Florentino "Kidd" Santos was a legendary Filipino volleyball coach and pillar of the sport. Best known for his lifelong association with the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 67.
His legacy in Philippine volleyball is defined by several key milestones. He guided the FEU men's program to multiple UAAP championships starting in 1986 until the late 1990s.
National Team: Coached the Philippine men's and women's national team. Led the women's team to a bronze medal at the 1991 Southeast Asian Games in Manila.
Coaching Tree: Santos mentored many of the country's top volleyball coaches, including Ramil de Jesus, Shaq delos Santos, George Pascua, and Nes Pamilar.
