Prevention is not just a health issueโit is a shared societal investment.โ
This was the powerful reminder from Dr. Anthony Faraon, Chief of Party of The Challenge Initiative - The Philippines at the Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF), during his keynote on โBeyond Universal Coverage: Sustainable Financing for Preventive Careโ at the Asian Medical Students' Association - Service-Oriented Medical Advocates (AMSA-SOMA) 6th Public Health Forum.
Held last April 11, 2026 at the Artists Hall, Benedicto College, Mandaue Campus, the forum gathered medical students, healthcare professionals, and advocates to explore collaborative solutions to pressing public health challenges.
Alongside the keynote, ZFF also welcomed participants at its booth, where we introduced our broader programs in public health leadership, governance training, and advocacy.
By highlighting prevention and engaging with future medical leaders, ZFF reaffirmed its commitment to building resilient communities and nurturing serviceโoriented advocates for equitable and sustainable healthcare.

The future of population and devโt Every year from Nov. 23 to 29, the Philippines observes Population and Development (Popdev) Week. This tradition began in 1992, when the country had only 66 million people. Today, barely three decades
On Nov 9, RC Manila Crown rolled up their sleeves for a day of care โ free dog & cat vaccinations, lots of tail wags, and smiles all around. ๐๐โโฌ From pups getting their first jab to long-time community pets, our volunteers and partner vets showed what teamwork looks like.
If this moved you, like, share, and follow for more community events โ and tag a friend who should join next time! ๐
