Who says LeBron is not a draw anymore? π
Even heading into his 24th NBA season, two of the biggest dates on the NBA calendar still feature The King.
Opening Night gives us the first taste of what should be a renewed, spicy Atlantic Division rivalry, with LeBron and the reloaded Sixers visiting the defending-champion Knicks at Madison Square Garden. New York has the crown, but Philadelphia is coming into the season as one of the biggest threats to take it.
Then there's Christmas Day.
LeBron's return to Los Angeles will put him across the court from Luka DonΔiΔ and the Lakers. James spent eight seasons in L.A., leading the franchise to the 2020 championship and becoming the NBA's all-time leading scorer along the way.
And while the LeBron-Luka pairing looked incredible on paper, it never quite reached its potential. The Lakers couldn't get past the second round in either of their two seasons together.
Now, Luka remains in L.A., while LeBron has taken his talents to South Philly.
A lot has changed in the basketball world, but the NBA still knows exactly where to put LeBron: when the spotlight is brightest.
The King still commands the stage π₯
