this was filmed during our tri-island tour. during our last stop in Guyam Island, we came across this local iao singer (whom i have watched perform every year when i visit iao — he loves his “chicken nuggets”!). for me, i knew i had a lot on my plate; i’m still going through a quarterlife crisis. but in that moment, all of my problems faded away and all i felt was immense gratitude 🧘🏽‍♀️🪷 time stopped and all i could feel is the joy and power that that moment held — and i think this is the magic of siargao island. it’s not necessarily the place (although gaddam it IS a beautiful island), but it’s the energy and the people this island brings. i’m forever thankful i get to experience it in this lifetime, and i hope for more moments like these — just being present, grateful, and truly *happy* 🌞🌴🌊
