Things I wish I knew when I started bowling… again
• Perfect games are rare — don’t let one bad shot ruin your mindset
• Spare shooting improves your average more than strikes do
• A new bowling ball won’t magically fix your game
• Progress comes from reps, patience, and consistency
• Practice with purpose, not just for scores
• Join leagues and tournaments — that’s where you really learn how to adjust under pressure
Bowling taught me that growth isn’t instant. It’s built frame by frame. 🎳🔥

“It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.” - Psalms 18:32
Not perfect, but probably the best my release has felt with these recent changes. 🙏🎳
Working on keeping my elbow locked while learning to keep my hand a little more behind the ball to create more power and revs. Still a long way to go, but I’m loving the process of learning, adjusting, and growing one session at a time.
Trusting His plans even in the small improvements. Progress over perfection.
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3
Spares win games. 🎳
You don’t need more strikes if you keep giving pins away.
The biggest improvement in my scoring came from slowing down, staying balanced, and treating every spare shot with the same focus as a strike shot.
A few things that help:
• Practice your single pins every session
• Watch your target, not the pins
• Stay calm after a bad frame
• Build a repeatable routine
• Trust the process and stay patient
Small improvements in spare shooting create big results over time. 💯
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” — Luke 16:10 🙏

Bowling is a weird sport. A bad shot gets a strike and a good shot gets a 9. Keep chasing growth versus perfection
When you think it’s an easy spare but the pins say no
POV: You miss your target by 2–3 boards… and suddenly the reaction downlane tells the whole story 🎳👀
Side-by-side comparison during practice to spot the difference, make the adjustment, and trust the process. Small changes. Big impact.

Part of our process to improve our release. 🎳
Not chasing perfection, but embracing growth one shot at a time. Every practice session teaches us something new — staying patient, making adjustments, and trusting the process even when it feels uncomfortable.
The goal isn’t to be perfect overnight, but to become better, stronger, and more consistent through discipline and hard work. Grateful for the journey and the lessons along the way. 🙏
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3
Monday practice session focused on reworking our release with less axis rotation. Definitely not perfect yet, but every adjustment, every missed shot, and every small improvement is part of the process. Learning to trust the journey, stay patient, and enjoy the growth that comes with stepping out of our comfort zone.
Sometimes progress doesn’t look flashy. Sometimes it’s simply showing up, staying consistent, and being willing to relearn the basics. Grateful for this new chapter and excited to see where it leads. 🎳
