Iglupas breezes thru Andrada Cup semis | Sports, News, The Philippine Star | philstar.com Khim Iglupas spent more time preparing for her match against Guia Arzaga yesterday than wrapping up the win in the resumption of the 25th Andrada Cup Age-Group Tennis Championships.

The Andrada Cup is an annual Tennis Tournament held every January of the year. Since its inception in 1989, the Andrada Cup has successfully helped Philippine Tennis discover new talents while providing a competitive stage for existing youth enthusiasts. It has become one of the pillars of the Philippine Tennis Association’s grassroots development program.

Its founder and presently one of the Philippine Sports Commission’s Board of Commissioners, Col. Salvador Andrada, has recently been conferred the title Honorary Life President by no less than the Asian Tennis Federation. This honor is no doubt recognition of his valuable contribution to the positive advancement of Tennis in the country and the Asian region.

In 2014, the Andrada Cup shall celebrate 25 years of successfully discovering and honing Tennis achievers in the Philippines. The 25th Andrada Cup will be held from 6 to 12 January at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center and is expected to attract around 200 participants.
