Coach Dean Paulo Hubalde!!!

FROM RED WARRIOR TO WARRIOR-COACH ✊🏻🏀

A new era begins for the UE High School Boys’ U-16 and U-19 teams as Dean Paulo Hubalde takes over as head coach of the Junior Warriors.

A former UE standout, Hubalde played alongside Warrior greats Paul Artadi, James Yap, Niño Canaleta, and Ronald Tubid.

He later brought his game to the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from 2005 to 2017, suiting up for the San Miguel Beermen, Barangay Ginebra Kings, Air21 Express, Terrafirma Dyip, NorthPort Batang Pier, and Barako Bull Energy Boosters.

After his PBA stint, he joined the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) in 2018, playing for the Valenzuela Classic and Bulacan Kuyas.

He later transitioned into coaching as an assistant for the UE Men’s Basketball Team under Head Coach Chris Gavina in UAAP Season 88, a role he continues to hold today.

Capping off his recent run, Hubalde was named Season MVP of the PinoyLiga Alumni Cup 2026.

Now serving as the new head coach, Hubalde will hold tryouts for the Junior Warriors on April 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Lucio K. Tan Jr. RD Gym in UE Manila.
