Congratulations to everyone who participated the leg 1 in mall of asia this morning, fell 2 minutes short on my goal time but still happy that i finished the race with a good kick at the last kilometer.
We accept the setbacks and move on, take the learnings and bring that to the upcoming goal race🙏
Rest and recover well guys on to the next one ❤️🙏
Thanks coach Ken and also to the whole We Ken Run family

Marin mtb, converted to hybrid
Change to 700 x 32c cx tires and rigid fork

- forward kaybiang loop
- 2x century ride
- daang hari - open canal - amadeo - tagaytay down nasugbu- looc batangas - hanilo coast - up kaybiang tunnel - ternate - naic - maragondon - general trias epza road - lancaster - open canal - daang hari
- nutrition : 7 pcs saging na saba , 3 pcs boiled egg, lomi and fruit soda ( stop over @ christine's lomihan nasugbu ) halo2x and bread with mayonaise @ puerto azul
- what to expect: 'banayad' roads starting at open canal up to amadeo drop off, steady and rolling climbs at amadeo , long downhill from tagaytay down to nasugbu ( make sure that your brakes are both ok ) be careful not to go too much at the inner most lane for some areas are a bit dusty and your front tire may wash out, banayad rolling terrain at looc batangas, ( you can take seaside too see more of beautiful views but i did not take seaside considering i am riding alone and i must reach at home early before dark, took looc instead) a bit hard to pedal climbs when you reac hanilo coast drop off all the way to kaybiang tunnel, the old store at denr has been already gone , but there is still a 'latag' store meters after puerto azul, just be careful when approaching puerto azul though some motorists do not see the two way sign and tend to counterflow, and then looonnnggg and steady flats from maragondon up to lancaster
- what to bring : a bike with good shifting and properly maintained, lights front and rear, neon clothing as much as possible for motorists to see you , rain jacket and cycling cap just in case it rains, chain l**e if you are using dry l**e ( wet l**e is much better because it lasts longer) mini pump, spare tube, chain cutter tool, missing link ( depends what groupset do you use 8,9,10,11 or 12 speed) cellphone with load better with a powerbank just in case your phone's battery runs out
- recommended base training to finish the ride: 20-40 kms on a road bike 3-5 times a week 1 or 2 days rest, you can do 4 - 5 20km base training and then do a 100km ride at weekend
-total saddle time: around 8:30 - 9 hrs , total ride time with rests : 10-11 hours
