Good Neighbor Episode 11: Asgard Siargao 🏝️

We took our first flight as a team and trained nogi jiujitsu at Asgard Fight and Fitness Resort! One thing about us is we love training anywhere, so jiujitsu on the island is a must. Classes were taught by our very own Philip Alegre, and we got great rounds before stuffing our faces for dinner.

We can’t wait to be back. Thanks for having us, Asgard!

A week in Siargao Island with Neighborhood Jiu Jitsu 🏝️

Swipe through as we eat, drink, and train our way around the island. We may or may not have planned our next trip already 🫂

We drove up north for the beaches and had to leave our mark somehow. Who’s down for more NJJ stickers and merch? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Jiujitsu tourism brought us to Asgard Fight and Fitness Resort, where our very own Philip Alegre taught the nogi classes. On Wednesday, we learned the straight jacket system and on Friday we learned sweeps.

We had tough rounds with everyone and enjoyed training at Asgard. We can’t wait to be back!

Jiujitsu, coffee, food, sleep, repeat. This is our dream rotation ☁️

No trip is complete without a boodle fight. We had this spread at our villa, complete with drinks and dessert.

Just a few of the faces that make our community. All love for Neighborhood Jiu Jitsu ❤️‍🔥 from Cavite, La Union, Zambales, and now Siargao, we feel so blessed to go on these trips, spend quality time, and grow together as teammates and individuals.

Delicious Lechon + spicy sauce + rice combo. This was our first meal upon landing in Siargao!

Aside from being big backs, we are also biiiiiig coffee people. We averaged 2-3 cups of coffee a day ☕️

Divine Ca Phe Sua. A must order when you’re in the island. Look at the party on the froth! YUM

This spot is a bit of a drive from our villa, but worth the trip.

This spot had a sweet drink called White Wash, with excellent coffee and vibes.

We wore the same rashguard on Day 1 of training - our collab with forthstreet 🖤

Love the design and quality of this rashguard. Everyone who wears it looks like a 10/10

Thank you for the patience, care, and energy you bring to the team. Whether it’s on the mats, at competitions, or making sure everyone is where they need to be, you’re always there showing up for the people around you.

We’re lucky to have a coach who genuinely cares beyond just Jiujitsu, and even luckier to have you as such a big part of the Neighborhood.
