The Greyhound tryouts for the upcoming season are officially open to all aspiring athletes ready to run with the pack and prove they have the heart of a champion. The sessions will be held this May 27 and 28, 2026, at the UNC Covered Court or UNC Sports Palace, starting from 8:00 AM onwards.

To be part of the future of our team, players must first register and stay tuned to our page for real-time updates and schedule changes. On the day of the tryouts, it is mandatory for all participants to wear a red shirt.

Please ensure you come fully prepared by bringing a valid ID for registration, plenty of water for hydration, and an extra shirt for after the session. We will be forming a group chat for shortlisted participants, but you should continue to check our page for further announcements regarding the selection process.

The UNC Men’s Volleyball Team rises as 1st Runner-Up at the BUCAL Season 7 Volleyball Tournament last March 29, 2026, capping off a hard-fought run marked by intensity, and composure.

Game after game, the Greyhounds refused to back down turning pressure into power and challenges into defining moments. Their campaign was fueled by discipline and trust in one another, proving that this squad is built for high-stakes competition.

Individual brilliance also took the spotlight, with 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 earning Mythical Player recognition, while 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼 anchored the defense as Best Libero highlighting the depth and versatility within the team.

This finish is more than a result it’s a statement. And as the dust settles, one thing is clear, the Greyhounds are not done. They reload, they refocus, and they return sharper, ready to take that final step next season.

𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚: 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗬𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗔𝗧 𝗕𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝟳

The UNC Women’s Volleyball Team soared to a remarkable 1st Runner-Up finish at the BUCAL Season 7 Volleyball Tournament last March 29, 2026, showcasing determination, teamwork, and heart throughout their campaign.

With every set fought and every point earned, the Greyhounds proved that their dedication and preparation translated into performance on the court. Alongside this achievement, 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗷𝗼 was recognized as Mythical Player and 1st Best Middle Blocker, 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 as 2nd Best Outside Hitter, while 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻 earned the Best Coach of the Season award, testaments to the team’s excellence both individually and collectively.

As they close this chapter, the Greyhounds carry with them not just a podium finish, but the pride of the university and a hunger for more. With eyes set on the next season, expect a stronger, fiercer pack ready to rise, reclaim, and finish what they started.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁.

The UNC Greyhounds Men’s Volleyball Team fell short in their face-off against the NCF Tigers, dropping Finals Game 1 in straight sets, 0–3. They posted scores of 18–25 in the first set, 17–25 in the second, and a hard-fought 23–25 in the final set.

The pack may have stumbled, but they are ready to rise and fight back stronger in Game 2 of the Finals tomorrow, March 29 at 12:30 PM, at NCF Covered Court.
