This championship is a testament to the team's hard work, discipline, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament. Every game, every challenge, and every battle on the court brought them one step closer to this incredible achievement.

On August 6, 2026, Metro Ormoc Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (OCCCI) paid a courtesy visit to the Municipality of Tanauan, Leyte, where the delegation was warmly welcomed by Officer-in-Charge Mayor and Municipal Administrator, Ret. Judge Ephrem S. Abando.

The visit was an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between OCCCI and the Local Government Unit of Tanauan following the municipality's invitation for OCCCI to participate in the 1st Tanauan Pasaka Open Invitational Basketball Tournament. During the meeting, OCCCI introduced its products and services and highlighted its SHEER Advocacies—Sports, Health, Education, Environment, and Resiliency—while exploring potential areas of collaboration that will benefit both the cooperative and the local community.

Representing OCCCI during the courtesy visit were Joel G. Hinay, SHEER Advocacy Officer; Julius Lagahit, Branch Manager; Rino Ramirez, Branch Manager; and the OCCCI basketball players.

The visit reaffirmed OCCCI's commitment to building meaningful partnerships with local government units and supporting initiatives that promote community development, youth empowerment, and cooperative growth.

Together, OCCCI and the Municipality of Tanauan continue to foster collaboration, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for a brighter future. 💙💛

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 to the 𝗢𝗖𝗖𝗖𝗜 𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 for their hard-fought 1st Runner-Up finish in the MAYOR'S CUP 2026 Invitational Under-26 Basketball Tournament held in Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte.

The team gave an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, battling until the final buzzer in a thrilling championship game and narrowly falling to IMC, 73–71. Though the championship title slipped away by just two points, your determination, teamwork, and fighting spirit made the entire OCCCI family proud.

The Board of Directors, Management, and Staff of OCCCI, together with your SHEERMASTERS family, celebrate this remarkable achievement. Your passion, discipline, and commitment continue to inspire everyone who supports and believes in the team.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the organizers of the MAYOR'S CUP 2026 Invitational Under-26 Basketball Tournament for hosting a successful, peaceful, and well-organized event. It was truly an honor for the OCCCI SHEERMASTERS to be part of this exciting competition.

The team's dominant Finals performance was matched by individual performance as 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘇 was named 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 (𝗠𝗩𝗣).

Three OCCCI SHEERMASTERS also earned a sport in the tournament's 𝗠𝗬𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘: 𝗡𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀, 𝗥𝗲𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘇.
