National Bicycle Day
MANILA – The country will mark every 4th Sunday of November of every year as "National Bicycle Day" to promote the environmental benefits of bicycles based on the latest proclamation of President Rodrigo Duterte.
In Proclamation No. 1052 he signed on November 18, Duterte declared the annual occasion to ensure ecological integrity and a clean and healthy environment by raising public awareness on eco-friendly technologies, systems, and practices.
"There is a need to highlight the importance of non-motorized transportation as a means of fostering sustainable development and promoting environmental health that is conducive to the physical health and well-being of all Filipinos," the proclamation read.
Under the proclamation, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), in coordination with relevant non-government organizations and civil society groups, will lead the observance and celebration of National Bicycle Day.

WASHINGTON — During America’s last surge of the coronavirus driven by the Delta variant, people who were unvaccinated but survived Covid were better protected than those who were vaccinated and not previously infected, a new study said Wednesday.
The finding is the latest to weigh in on a debate on the relative strengths of natural versus vaccine-acquired immunity against SARS-CoV-2, but comes this time with the imprimatur of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The authors of the paper warned, however, against depending on infection as a strategy, given the higher risks to unvaccinated persons who weren’t previously infected of hospitalization, long term impacts, and death, compared to vaccinated people. https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1542775/natural-immunity-more-potent-than-vaccines-during-us-delta-wave-study?utm_source=pushnami&utm_medium=email&source=pushnami&medium=push_notifications&utm_campaign=topoverallinternational
