World Engineering Day 2026 was celebrated on 20 March 2026 in Oman, hosted by the Philippine Technical Council (PTC) MENA–Oman Affairs. It also marked the celebration of the Second National Engineering Month and served as a platform for the International Technical Conference for Filipino engineers.

The two-day event featured keynote sessions and technical discussions. Among the speakers were PTC President Engr. Federico A. Monsada; Commission on Higher Education Commissioner Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III; World Federation of Engineering Organizations President Dr. Seng Chuan Tan; and Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers, Inc. National President Engr. Robert U. Mabulay.

Conducted in a hybrid format, the event gathered a wide audience, with more than 250 participants from different countries joining online, bringing together engineers from diverse fields and backgrounds, fostering meaningful dialogue and opening opportunities for collaboration.

In her remarks, Ambassador Noralyn Jubaira Baja emphasized that, “The true value of gatherings like this lies not just in what is said, but in what is carried forward—into projects, partnerships, and policies that make a difference.”

Congratulations to the organizers and participants for your continued efforts in advancing the engineering profession and strengthening collaboration within the community.
