SOON…

Sorry. I know that this goes against the theme of this page. Just sharing my upcoming bike build. It’s a road bike, Ridley Fenix SL to be exact. It’s a full carbon frameset.

The frame and fork weighs only 1.3kg. It’s 60% lighter compared to my MTB frame and fork. The combined weight of Ridley Ignite A and Manitou Machete is 3.6kg. I’m not much of a weight we**ie, but still I’m very excited how the total bike weight will clock in for the Fenix.

Like if you want to see how it goes.

Cheers!

This is the DT Aero Comp bladed spoke. You may refer to my other post on details. Cheers!

FOR SALE!

I have extra 20 pieces of DT Aero Comp bladed spokes. Selling it for P1,950 for the whole box (20 pieces). These are never used and bought new.

The Aero Comp is a heavy duty version of the DT Aerolite bladed spoke. Double cold-forged from the same stainless steel blank as the DT Competition (DT Swiss' best selling spoke), this spoke is now available in a bladed, aerodynamic shape.

The Aero Comp is 1.2mm wide at the blade (vs. DT Aerolite's 0.9mm), making it a great choice for MTB, cyclocross, road riders with a heavy training schedule or anyone emphasizing lateral stiffness with the advantages of a bladed spoke. The Aero Comp can be used in any hub without slotting due to its 2.0/1.2/2.3mm flat cross-section.

Color: Black
Neck Type: J-bend
Dimensions: Neck 2.0mm, Blade 1.2x2.3mm, Thread 2.0mm
Weight: 14g
Length: 294mm (recommended for 3-cross lacing)

Just send a message if interested.

Finally! Was able to complete my dream MTB. Took me more than three months. Majority of parts coming from USA and Germany and shipped through standard mail.

Very happy with the outcome. Smooth ride and just the right cushion and stiffness.

Bought my fork directly from Hayes Bicycle US: Manitou Machete Comp. It has a travel of 100mm for 27.5+/29 wheels and boost hub. Compatible to my Ridley boost framset. This will go well with my Cane Creek Hellbender 70 IS42/IS52. The set includes a mudguard and bought a MILO remote lockout to get the complete Manitou experience.

Authentic Truvativ cockpit set. Apparently, the P350 price range I’m seeing all over FB Marketplace are rip-off’s. Bought these from Cycle Art that are priced more than 5 times, but they are genuine and reliable. Was very happy and lucky to get a complete Holzfeller set of handlebar, stem, and seatpost. Even in online shops in the US wouldn’t have all three available.

They’re designed for downhill so I’m sure the cockpit of my XC bike is really on the sturdy side.

My SLX M7100 2x12 groupset! Released in mid-2019, this Shimano groupset is the mid-tier drivetrain of their MTB lineup. An excellent choice to your initial bike upgrade or build.

Installing this to my new build. Bought it from Supertramp Cycle in Manila.
