‎​Ever since, the 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 has been a beloved tradition among us Drillers to welcome the freshies into our program, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zone and experience the unique warm welcoming breeze that only the SPE community can offer. ⚓

‎​Last 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟬𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 - 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 shared this special journey once again. Gathered together, all the freshies lit their candles as a symbol of their hopes and commitment to the path ahead. 🕯️

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆? 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗗! ☑️
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗔 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼!

We officially kicked off 𝗔.𝗬. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 with an afternoon filled with announcements, familiar faces, new connections, and, of course, a little bit of chaos.

From welcoming our 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘀 to welcoming back every Pet’E, the First GA was more than just an assembly—it was our little way of saying, “𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸!” 🫡

And because sitting and listening for hours is NOT the Pet’E way, we made sure to keep everyone on their toes! Our 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼 had everyone hunting for signatures, completing challenges, and, let’s be honest, probably scouting for their next victim—ay, 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼!

Of course, the fun didn’t stop there! Our ice breakers brought out the competitive spirit, the random energy, and the personalities we didn’t know were hiding in some of our fellow Pet’Es.

But beyond the games, laughs, and activities, this gathering was a reminder that 𝗦𝗣𝗘–𝗣𝗦𝗨–𝗦𝗖 is more than just an organization. It is a community where every Pet’E has a place—from our newest freshies to our ever-reliable upperclassmen, alongside the professors who continue to guide us throughout our Petroleum Engineering journey.

‎Behind the numbers, documents, budgets, and responsibilities as our Division Officer for the Administrative and Finance Department, there is a person who is genuinely enthusiastic about her work and people. Christine, thank you for being responsible, helping wherever you can, and for putting your heart and soul into everything you do. Your willingness to help and the efforts you make in serving your fellow Drillers means more than you know.

It's only been a month since you officially stepped into the role of Creative Head, yet you've been carrying it with so much passion and dedication. From countless revisions to last-minute pubmats and everything in between, you've never stopped showing up for the team—and for that, we couldn't be more grateful.
We know the road ahead comes with even busier days, sleepless nights, and deadlines that seem to appear out of nowhere... so allow us to say an early sorry (and thank you 😭). Through it all, you've continued to give your best, always putting your creativity and heart into every design that represents our organization.

But beyond the layouts and graphics, thank you for the energy you bring to the department. Your "queen" moments, your humor, and the way you can make everyone laugh make the Publicity Department and the whole organization feel a little lighter and a lot more fun.

Thank you for going beyond the responsibilities of your position and for giving so much of yourself to SPE-PSU SC. We can't wait to see more of your creativity, ideas, and passion shine through in everything you create.

Honestly, what would an SPE event be without hearing your voice welcome everyone with so much energy?

But beyond the microphone and the bright personality is someone we've all learned to look up to. You're the kind of leader who never hesitates to step in when the team needs you. No matter how packed your schedule is, you're always just one call away—ready to help, ready to listen, and ready to lead.

Thank you for reminding us that leadership isn't just about taking charge. It's about making people feel supported, encouraged, and capable of doing more than they thought they could. Your dedication, patience, and genuine care for the organization inspire all of us to become better leaders ourselves.
