Ateneo De Manila has confirmed the passing of Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili in a drowning incident in Dipaculao Aurora on June 8, 2026.

The team was reportedly having a team building when the unexpected tragic event happened.

Fans from Davao are waitinf to see Rene playing in the UAAP for the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

A great loss from the Philippine basketball community.
