Every champion’s journey begins on a neighborhood court, in a school program, or at a child’s very first tennis lesson.
Congratulations to Alex Eala on an inspiring run at Wimbledon. Moments like these remind us why grassroots tennis matters. Great players aren’t discovered overnight—they are developed through years of opportunity, quality coaching, competition, and the support of families and communities.
Since 1988, CTSM has believed that introducing more children to the game is the foundation of a stronger future for Philippine tennis. Every child who picks up a racket today could become tomorrow’s national champion, college athlete, coach, or lifelong ambassador for the sport.
Alex’s success is more than a personal achievement—it is an inspiration for every young Filipino who dreams of playing on the world’s biggest stages.
The future of Philippine tennis starts with the next child who steps onto the court.

If you grew up in the Philippines, chances are some of your earliest memories of competition came with a cup of MILO. Maybe it was waking up before sunrise for training or staying on the barangay court until the streetlights came on. For many young Filipinos, sports dreams begin in these everyday moments.
That’s the heart behind the new TVC.
Instead of focusing only on established champions, the film shines a light on young Filipino athletes still in the middle of their journey—the ones balancing school, training, and long commutes in pursuit of something bigger.
One of them is 8-year-old tennis player Rafael Mamawal. Coming from a family of national team players, coaches, and tennis leaders with ties to the MILO Tennis Sports Clinic, Rafael grew up surrounded by the sport. His own journey also began through MILO sports clinics, where he was introduced to the discipline of competitive training.
Rafael started training at age 5 and competing by 7. In his first tournament, the PSC PHILTA Age Group Tennis Championship, he won silver. He later earned bronze at the JTI Tennis Initiative – Tennis 10s Tournament (PCA) in August 2025, further building momentum in his young career.
His love for tennis has also led to memorable opportunities. In 2024, Rafael joined a MILO campaign and, in 2026, was selected as a walk-in kid for Alex Eala during a WTA tournament in Manila.
Rafael's story reflects what MILO has always believed: greatness doesn't start on the big stage—it starts in everyday practice. While familiar names like Alex Eala and EJ Obiena appear in the film, its emotional core belongs to athletes like Rafael: young dreamers putting in the unseen work long before medals and headlines.
For decades, MILO has helped young Filipinos pursue sports through grassroots programs, school partnerships, and nationwide competitions. The campaign continues that legacy by celebrating not just achievement, but the perseverance and support behind every dream.
Whether you once dreamed of becoming an athlete or simply cheered from the sidelines, chances are you'll find something familiar in these stories.
