That's a wrap for another season of the GHD YP Manila Basketball League!

This season may have been shorter than the last, but it was just as memorable. Every week, we witnessed great games, friendly competition, and players giving their all on the court. It was another reminder that this league is more than just basketball, it's about bringing people together, building friendships, and creating moments everyone can enjoy.

To the entire GHD YP Manila team, thank you once again for trusting Project : Game Plan to organize your league. We truly appreciate the opportunity and hope everyone had as much fun this season as we did.

To all the players of GHD YP MBL, thank you for showing up every game and playing with passion and sportsmanship. Whether you went home with a trophy or not, we appreciate the effort and commitment each of you brought throughout the season.

And of course, thank you to all the families, friends, and colleagues who came to support your teams. Your cheers, energy, and interactions with our photos and videos made every game day even more enjoyable.

Congratulations to all our champions and award winners and thank you to everyone who helped make another successful season possible. We'll see you all again next season!

GAME RECAP - FS and FRIENDS vs ENERGY
GHD YP MANILA BASKETBALL LEAGUE FINALS · June 26, 2026

FS and FRIENDS completed their dominant tournament run by capturing the championship with a 61-49 victory over Energy in a thrilling Finals showdown. Energy stormed out of the gates and dictated the pace early, handing FS and FRIENDS unfamiliar adversity as they trailed through the first half and into the middle of the third quarter. Rather than panic, the unbeaten squad stayed composed and patiently chipped away at the deficit. Once they finally took the lead, they never relinquished it. Team captain and Finals MVP Rubio caught fire when it mattered most, drilling six three-pointers on his way to 20 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Sison once again dominated the interior with 8 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks, while Lopez contributed a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. De Mesa also delivered a timely performance, finishing with 7 points, 11 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block to help seal the championship.

Energy's valiant effort should not be overlooked, as they controlled much of the contest and pushed the eventual champions to their toughest test of the season. Their relentless defense and disciplined ex*****on kept FS and FRIENDS on the ropes for nearly three quarters before the momentum shifted. Castillo led the scoring with 11 points and added 3 rebounds and 3 steals, while Gabrinao chipped in 10 points and 4 rebounds in the hard-fought defeat. Though the title slipped away, Energy proved throughout the tournament that they belonged among the league's elite, capping off an impressive campaign with a well-earned runner-up finish.
