Finally got to see the Shimano Rc810 up close and compared side by side with the previous generation RC710.

Some notable upgrades:

1. Wider range for the fore/aft adjustment of the cleats
2. Shoe was actually slightly roomier/wider
3. Carbon sole stiffness from 10 in the previous gen to 11

Aero Gravel 🚴‍♂️💨

Fun session working with Nash on Factor’s take on Aero Gravel — enter the Elara. Some timely preparation ahead of the UCI Gravel Worlds in Nannup, Australia.

Designed primarily for speed, the Elara takes inspiration from its road sibling, the Factor ONE. Compared with the previous-generation race gravel bike, the Ostro Gravel, it features steeper seat tube and head tube angles, positioning the rider slightly more forward than most gravel geometries.

With generous tyre clearance up to 57mm, the Elara can accommodate a wide range of tyres, giving it the versatility to handle rougher terrain while still keeping things fast. This bike was rolling with the new Dubnital tires from Continental in the 50mm variant - with room to spare.

Dialling in the fit on this gravel race machine was an absolute treat. Really looking forward to seeing how this new geometry and configuration performs in its natural habitat — out in the dirt!

Absolutely knackered after a busy week, but my heart is full. ❤️

So grateful to have had the chance to share our passion for bike fitting back home and work alongside fellow Bacolodnons. A welcome sight to see friends from Iloilo join the sessions too.

Dialing in the details 🚴‍♂️

Another great fitting session at Dan’s Bike Shop! Worked with Ryan today on his XDS Astana Team Colors TT bike as he gears up for the 2027 triathlon season. It took us a while to make the necessary adjustments to get him more comfortable. The Vision cockpit that came with the bike was adjustable enough and we were able to get it to work without adding aftermarket bits.

Also got the chance to finally work with X-labs RS7 which remain to be the best value proposition within the road bike range. The RS7 does sound like strong value if it’s genuinely delivering full carbon (frameset, cockpit, deep-section wheels) that’s usually where new carbon-road buyers get squeezed into compromises somewhere in the build.

A genuine rarity rolled through our bike fit studio — one of only 72 ever made. Its design draws inspiration from the Teatro alla Scala, Milan’s storied opera house, translated into a livery that turns the frame into a tribute to Italian culture.

It’s built with Italian parts - Campagnolo Super Record 13-speed drivetrain, Bora Ultra WTO 45 DB Edition wheels, and a Prologo Choice special edition saddle round out the build.

Beyond the finish, the frame carries details that speak to what this edition represents — tradition and innovation, culture and technique, beauty and performance, all worked into a single machine.

Fortunate to get to see one, and actually work on it!

Bacolod Bike Fits

Kicking off the campaign in Bacolod with some proper Samal 5150 preparations for our friends back home.

Some interesting saddles such as the Wove TT saddle and the Ergon TT which have proven to be comfortable set ups.

Meanwhile, the Colnago V4rs was set up ahead of the Taiwan KOM even this coming November. The course is set for a long day of climbing with 3,275m of elevation over 105kms. We worked with Josh to help him get more efficient on the bike while setting the foundation to make the bike as best as possible for the event.

What a difference a year makes!

We had Leijin back after a year and a half and he’s gone up two frame sizes 😅 I still remember setting up his old bike in size XXS back in early 2025 and now he’s looking rather bit comfortable on the Factor O2 in a size small.

The first thing we had to address was his back pain, which was quite evident with a stem that was obviously too long. Using the stem sizer, we were able to test different stem lengths, from 120mm all the way down to 90mm—to find what worked best for him. In the end, the 100mm stem proved to be the sweet spot.

We also found out that he’s outgrown his shoes, by a size or two! 😅

It was great to catch up with Kuya and his dad for a laid back session on Sunday. Good luck with your training and wishing you all the best for your cycling journey!
