Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) has officially been renamed Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) following a landmark global consensus announced on May 12, 2026, in a study published by The Lancet.
While the condition itself remains unchanged, experts agreed the previous term “PCOS” was scientifically misleading because it incorrectly suggested the disorder was primarily about ovarian cysts, even though the “cysts” seen on ultrasound are actually immature egg follicles and may not even be present in many diagnosed individuals.
The new name better reflects the disorder’s complex, whole-body nature, highlighting its involvement in multiple hormonal systems, metabolic dysfunction, and reproductive health.
“Polyendocrine” refers to disruptions in hormones such as insulin and androgens, “Metabolic” acknowledges increased risks of weight gain, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, while “Ovarian” maintains recognition of its impact on ovulation, menstrual irregularities, and fertility.
Importantly, diagnostic criteria remain the same under the Rotterdam guidelines, and healthcare systems worldwide are expected to transition fully from PCOS to PMOS terminology by 2028.

Alam nyo ba na iba-iba ang lasa ng black coffee?
Hindi lang Nescafe na naka-sachet.
Try nyo yung tunay na fresh ground coffee beans, then hanapin nyo yung black coffee na bagay sa taste nyo ☕️
Hindi rin naman required na pure coffee.
Pwede kayo maglagay ng sweetener or sugar - just keep it minimal.
Isang kutsarita lang, or even less.
Meron na din ngayon zero calorie, zero sugar sweeteners.
You can also add milk for a bit of protein.
Go for nonfat if you want it lighter.
Ang goal is to enjoy your coffee in a way na sustainable for you - hindi pilit, hindi extreme 🙂

This is very telling. All gyms must have this.
Do you know that fat cells don't die when you lose weight?
They just deflate. Fat cells are still there upto 10 years. 😭

The main reason why you are doing calorie deficit, though you may not always be aware of it, is because you want to become healthier...
So if you want to be healthier than now, sa tingin mo ba okay yung nagve-v**e?
Sure it's hard to change. Mahirap alisin yung habit. But knowing that it's not okay, and actually accepting that is not okay, is part of the whole lifestyle change.
Telling yourself that it's okay to v**e is like finding an excuse to do bad things.
So, it's not okay to use v**e, or smoke ci******es. They are not making you healthier.
But you decide to do it anyway. Because it's hard to remove from your system.
Someday, you will be able to come off it completely. Baby steps.
We live in a world so sedentary that a 15-minute walk is considered an exercise.
