To my UB Taekwondo Family,

After four years as your Team Captain, It is time for me to sign off. (Ayaw mog hilak ha)

To my teammates!, thank you for keeping me motivated, especially during my Nursing journey and sa journey nako as a student-athlete.

There were moments when I wanted to stop competing but your support, our camaraderie, and friendship pushed and kept me going.

To my kina pogihan and astig na coach, sir ! Thank you kaayo sir for guiding me, believing in me, and shaping me not only as an athlete but also as a person. Your lessons, discipline, and leadership will always stay with me.

It has been an honor to lead the UB Taekwondo team (kicking lemurs? Hmm). The team will always have a place in my heart.

As I graduate, I leave nothing but gratitude and pride for this team and everything it has given me.

First and foremost, THANK YOU. 🙏

Thank you for starting this team. Looking back to your freshman years, you stood here all alone—the one and only player representing UB Taekwondo. You had nothing but your passion, grit, and vision. From absolutely nothing, you dared to dream big and worked tirelessly to build this team from scratch. We know it wasn’t easy. We know there were struggles, challenges, and days when it felt hard to keep going. But you did it! You stood strong, you led the way, and you turned a vision into reality. We salute you, Captain! 🫡

We want to promise you this: we will not let your hard work go to waste. We will keep improving, we will keep fighting, and we will proudly continue the beautiful legacy you started. We will never forget where and how it all began, and we will always honor your leadership.

Yesterday, your juniors have a little something for you. 🎁✨

Honestly, this wasn’t a planned event at all! It was truly just a spurt of the moment—a sudden, heartfelt urge we all felt to come together and thank you. Hehehe! 😄 Not everyone knew about it beforehand because even we didn't plan it; the idea just sparked, and everyone wanted to rush here to show their appreciation. Even Coach Vj was only informed at the last minute—just tasked with holding you in place and making sure you wouldn’t leave before we arrived! 😉

But this makes it even more special, doesn’t it? It proves how much you truly mean to us. Even without any preparation or advance notice, your teammates wanted to be there for you on your graduation day. They were ready to drop everything just to surprise you—that is how deeply we respect, admire, and treasure you as our Captain.

And please, do understand and don't feel bad that not everyone was able to come yesterday. Because this was such a sudden decision, we didn't have enough time to inform or gather everyone. But please know this clearly: if we had planned it, everyone would have been there without a doubt. Every single member wanted to be there, and they are with us in heart, celebrating you just as much as we are. 💛 ❤️ 💙

You are truly one of a kind, Captain Vanz. Thank you for leading us, for building us, and for being the heart of this team. Congratulations on your graduation! We are so proud of you.
