ZCFDA successfully conducted a two-day Ultimate Frisbee training for the Physical Education Faculty of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) on July 17–18, 2026, at the ZPPSU Campus. The activity was organized upon the request of the Faculty of College of Physical Education and Sports as part of its initiative to integrate Ultimate Frisbee into the upcoming semester's PATHFIT courses.

The first day introduced the faculty members to the fundamentals of Ultimate Frisbee, covering its core principles and the organizations that govern and promote the sport at the local and international levels. Participants also learned the basic throwing and catching techniques through a guided practical session in the afternoon. On the second day, ZCFDA members joined the coaches for a series of mini hat games, allowing the faculty to experience the sport in an actual game setting. Mixed teams composing of coaches and ZCFDA players showcased the Spirit of the Game and teamwork; marking the importance of the game as a self-officiated sport.

Out of the many sports that could have been introduced to the students, we are truly grateful that you chose Ultimate Frisbee as a new sport. It is an honor for ZCFDA to be part of this milestone and we hope this is only the beginning in developing more Ultimate players and promoting the Spirit of the Game within the university.

MARAYA CUP 2026

From its roots in Sibulan, to last year’s battles in Dipolog City, now the Maraya Cup takes flight to a new field.
