Had an epic ride with Team Wheels on Road (WOR) from Gilgit to Sost, covering 200 km at an elevation of 2,800 meters!

🚴 A Journey of Peace on Two Wheels 🕊️
Today, Team Wheels on Road made a courtesy visit to check on a traveler involved in a road accident near Rahimabad valley. Fortunately, he is safe and in good spirits.
This traveler is no ordinary adventurer—he is a travel writer from Germany who set off on an incredible journey in 2020, cycling from his homeland to Japan. His mission is one of peace and remembrance, as he plans to arrive in Hiroshima on August 6, 2025, marking the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
His journey serves as a powerful symbol of resilience, unity, and the pursuit of a world without conflict. We are honored to have crossed paths with such an inspiring individual and wish him safe travels ahead!

The District administration of Hunza, in collaboration with Team Wheels on Road, is arranging a cycling rally on October 8, 2023, from the Attabad tunnel to the Passu glacier. This event aims to raise awareness about the critical issue of glacier melting due to climate change and the associated risks of glacial lake outburst floods. The rally's overarching theme is "Preserve Our Glaciers," and its primary objective is to encourage the adoption of sustainable, eco-friendly tourism practices in the region.
