Our personal favourite space from House 44 is the internal courtyard. With a retractable fibreglass roof, it provides ideal ventilation to the house and keeps all interior spaces lit throughout the day.
Internal courtyards play the role of the lungs of a building. They improve the quality of air and also enhance the quality of light while still maintaining levels of privacy.

Kitchens should not be devoid of moody lighting.

Villa 24, Facade Design - 100 x 90

For this design the client had envisioned a Tuscan villa with courtyard details and balconies. While we took the inspiration seriously we had to get creative, this is a 1 kanal street and something as massive as a Tuscan house with its masses would’ve looked bulky and lack the warm rich experience.

With straight lines and a focus on some breathing room using negative spaces, we explored design elements and materials that give it the warmth of tuscan architecture.

A design that required us to delve into a little history and explore the design details from the 70s.

Much like the exterior, the interior also takes inspiration for south asian architecture of the olden days. The wood carved details around the atrium provide warmth in the house while the stained glass adds a (much) pop of colour and an interesting play of soft ambient light.

Combining elements like jaali details and brick walls with some modern day masses, this residence fits right into an evergreen aesthetic.

Location: Peshawar

Interior design for the relaunch of by in Peshawar. The brand’s identity is built on local elements, we’ve incorporated the arches from their logo, and used soft colours aligned with the brand theme. The new design incorporates a live kitchen, partition with a glass wall for visitors to be able to see through.
