Margalla Backyard Ultra is the pioneer and only Backyard Ultra in Pakistan. It happened 1st week of December every year in F-9 Park, Islamabad.
Project by Magalla Trail Runners Margalla Backyard Ultra is the brainchild and project of Margalla Trail Runners. MBU was the first Backyard Ultra in the history of Pakistan.

Margalla Backyard Ultra 2025, what an incredible year!
Huge thanks to every runner, volunteer and partner who helped make this happen.
Over 160 runners showed up, gave their all and some even broke limits they didn’t think were possible.
Every loop, every step, every cheer made this event so special.
Can’t wait to do it all again next year. Until then, keep running and keep inspiring each other!

Margalla Backyard Ultra 2025 showcased the true spirit of resilience and endurance.
Over 160 runners gathered at F-9 Park to take on the demanding 6.7 km-per-hour Backyard format a challenge built on consistency, patience and the courage to keep moving loop after loop.
From women and kids to seasoned athletes, every participant brought remarkable energy and commitment to the track
At the front, Israr Khattak completed an outstanding 27 loops, while Faisal Zafar followed closely with 26 loops as the second-to-last man standing.
Our Last Woman Standing, Sadia Mehmood, completed 15 loops a remarkable 100 km, celebrating strength, perseverance and the growing presence of women in endurance sports.
A day filled with effort, unity and a deep love for the sport.

The Margalla Backyard Ultra 2025 results are now live on the International Association of Ultra-Runners (IAU) website.
