A strong step forward for collaborative social impact

On April 29, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Human Rights, Pakistan, and HRDN Network to advance joint efforts in community development, outreach, and capacity building.

The meeting was led by Secretary Mr. Abdul Khalique Shaikh, along with senior officials of the Ministry, while HRDN was represented by its senior professionals and lifetime members.

The MoU, signed by Ms. Shabana Nawaz (Director Welfare, MoHR) and Ms. Robeela Bangash (CEO, HRDN), will pave the way for joint trainings, awareness sessions, workshops, exposure visits, and technical support—especially for Social Welfare Centers.

The Secretary highlighted the importance of civil society in complementing government efforts and appreciated HRDN’s role in bridging the gap between government and communities.

A partnership committed to creating meaningful and inclusive change.

HRDN was honored to participate in the 1st meeting of the FPCCI Capital (ICT) Standing Committee on Corporate & Multinational Companies Affairs (MNCA), where we also received our official membership certificate marking an important step in strengthening civil society engagement within national business platforms.

The meeting brought together distinguished leadership, including Mr. Iskandar Khan, Director Premier Group of Companies, as Chief Guest, Senator Sana Jamali, and Mr. Atif Ikram, President FPCCI, along with other respected members and stakeholders.

We extend our appreciation to the Convener, Mr. Shafiq Swati, and Deputy Convener, Ms. Aysha Khan, for their leadership in convening such a diverse and committed forum.
Representing the voice of civil society, HRDN emphasized the importance of building stronger linkages between corporate and business communities and the communities they serve. Such collaboration is key to driving inclusive and sustainable development, ensuring that progress translates into meaningful impact on the ground.

We appreciate the dynamic participation of all members and look forward to contributing to impactful, cross-sector collaborations that create lasting change.

IWD 2026
HRDN, leading the initiative alongside its valued partners IRM, Caritas Pakistan, TVO, SIF, AKRSP/AKDN/GAC, COPAIR, Future Tech, GBTI, GBRSP, RCCI, and the Ministry of Human Rights, successfully convened a high-impact, multi-stakeholder event dedicated to advancing the agenda of women’s empowerment and inclusive development.
The event commenced with participant registrations, followed by a powerful Commitment Pledge, bringing together representatives from the development sector, corporate and UN agencies, trade and business communities, NGOs/INGOs, professionals, and community women. This collective reaffirmation underscored a shared responsibility towards gender equality and human rights.
The formal proceedings opened with a recitation and the National Anthem, setting a unified and respectful tone. The dialogue was enriched by insightful and inspiring addresses from distinguished speakers including Ms. Fareena Mazhar (Ex-Federal Secretary), Mr. Shafique Swati (Chair, MNCA Standing Committee FPCCI), Ms. Syma Nadeem (Ex-MNA & Parliamentary Secretary), alongside impactful reflections from Dr. Robina Sayar (Focal Person, Prime Minister Youth Program), Ms. Saima Sukhera (Al Majara Food Pvt. Ltd.), Ms. Amna Awan (President COPAIR), Ms. Humaira Malik (HRDN BoD Member), and Ms. Shandana Khan (CEO RSPN).
The session was seamlessly moderated by Ms. Erum Wali Khan, whose professionalism ensured a dynamic and engaging flow throughout. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Robeela Bangash (CEO HRDN), who acknowledged the invaluable contributions of all partners — from concept to ex*****on — and dedicated the success of the event to the collective efforts of the entire team, including strong participation from community women and vendors.
A defining highlight of the event was the immersive “Ripple Effect: Pebbles and Water” activity, symbolizing how individual actions can collectively create waves of lasting impact. Equally powerful was “The Power of Her Words: Story of 100 Words”, where participants contributed single words that came together to form a compelling narrative of strength, resilience, and shared aspirations.
The celebration continued with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony and shield distribution, led by Dr. Roomi S. Hayat (Chairperson HRDN), recognizing the invaluable contributions of partners and speakers.
The vibrant presence of women—many adorned in purple hues symbolizing dignity, justice, and equality added a powerful visual identity to the occasion. Interactive photo booth moments captured not just memories, but messages of solidarity, while extensive media coverage amplified the reach and impact of this collective voice.
The event concluded with a group photograph and networking over refreshments, leaving behind not just memories but a renewed sense of purpose and momentum.
