At Fit &Fab Fitness Studio, founded by Annie Ismail, women from every walk of life came together — not just to work out, but to grow, heal, and belong.

Here, friendships were born, confidence was rebuilt, injuries found healing, stress found release, and countless women discovered the joy of showing up for themselves.

From shared laughter to shared strength, this space became more than fitness — it became home. 🤍

A recent study revealed that intermittent fasting for just 8 weeks can reverse brain aging by as much as 2.5 years.

Fasting, particularly intermittent fasting, can help reverse brain aging through several mechanisms, including reducing inflammation, promoting cellular repair, and improving metabolic health. These effects can protect against neurodegenerative diseases and improve cognitive function.

During fasting periods, cells undergo autophagy, a process where cellular components are removed and recycles. This helps maintain proper cell function and protects against age-related degeneration.

Fasting can also lower chronic inflammation, a factor linked to various age-related diseases, including those affecting the brain.

Fasting also improves insulin sensitivity and reduces the risk of Type 2 diabetes, which is associated with an increased risk of neurodegenerative diseases.

Additionally, increases the brain’s resistance to oxidative stress and other forms of stress, reducing the risk of brain disorders.
