It's the 20th day of my fat loss journey.

This morning, the scale showed about 86kg

The past two weeks were quite taxing, leading to some significant weight fluctuations.

However, I'm confident that I'm on the right track. My short term goal is to shed fat and become leaner, and I can see that I'm making good progress.

I'm aiming to reach 85kg by November 19th, just in time for my birthday!!

Carbs and Fat/Weight Loss: What You Need to Know!

Losing fat isn't just about cutting carbs. In fact, carbs are essential for your body to efficiently burn fat.

Here's why:

Carbs provide energy: They help you exercise and burn fat. Without enough carbs, your body can't break down fats quickly enough for energy.

Thyroid health: Carbs support a healthy thyroid. A sluggish thyroid makes it harder to lose fat and can lead to issues like constipation, mood swings, and weight gain.

Energy and mood: Carbs give you energy, reduce stress hormones (like cortisol), improve performance, and boost mood.

Hormone balance: Keto diets, with very low carbs, can disrupt hormones, leading to menstrual issues, low bone density, sleep problems, and more fat storage.

Cortisol and stress: Low carb diets can increase cortisol, causing stress and making you prone to fat gain. It can even change how your body stores fat.

Leptin and fat burning: Carbs help regulate leptin, a powerful fat-burning hormone. Low carb diets can suppress leptin and hinder fat breakdown.

Carbs and fat storage: Contrary to popular belief, carbs don't make you fat. In fact, your body easily stores dietary fat as fat.

Weight, Water, and Energy:

Your weight can change without altering the amount of stored energy in your body.
Different tissues (muscles, fat, and organs) have varying energy storage capacities.

What You Should Know:

Lower carb diets might reduce your appetite and lead to faster weight loss, mostly from water loss.
But you don't need to cut carbs to lose weight.
Carbs are vital for fat burning, providing energy, and helping you stick to your diet.

Judgments can have a strong influence on us, subtly forcing us to conform to the expectations of others, sometimes at the expense of our own identity.

A valuable lesson I've learned over the years is that if someone attempts to impose their judgments or standards on you, IT IS THEIR BURDEN TO BEAR, NOT YOURS. πŸ’πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

A decade or so ago, I broke free from the fear that bullies and harassers had instilled in me, freeing myself from the need to conform to others' aesthetic standards. I've never looked back since. 😊

In the years since, I've met remarkable people who saw beyond appearances, embracing and appreciating me for who I truly am. These relationships have proven the value of authenticity. πŸ™ŒπŸ½

My body, in all of its forms and aesthetics, is a reflection of my desires and choices, not of external influences. πŸ™…πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

What was once an aesthetic pursuit through workouts has evolved into an act of self-care. I move because it makes me happy, makes me feel good, improves my health and I look great naked. πŸ˜‹

My body has changed over the last 8-9 years as a result of life's ever-changing demands. It's been influenced by my circumstances, emotions, health, and a variety of other factors. However, one constant remains - my perception of myself.

I find contentment and happiness in my body, regardless of how it looks - lean or a little more bulky. πŸ₯°

My confidence, self-worth, and self-esteem aren't defined by how I look; they're based on self-acceptance and inner strength. 😍

My belief in this one life is simple: embrace authenticity, live fully, and cherish yourself.

BE UNAPOLOGETICALLY YOU, do what speaks to your soul, and cherish every aspect of yourself. πŸ’•

It rarely ever remains the same for too long.

Just had an interesting conversation on a call...

Someone reached out to inquire about my online coaching program.

To be honest, these days I find myself turning away more individuals than I accept.

I have a preference for action-takers.

We exchanged messages in the DMs, and it became clear that this person needed assistance.

We decided to schedule a consultation to create a plan for the next six months.

At the end of our conversation, once we had identified the right solution, she said, 'Let me take some time to consider it.'

We all recognize this as a polite way of saying 'no,' right?

During these consultations, I assess if the client is:
A) Coachable
B) Committed

If they meet these criteria, they will experience significant physical and mental transformation within 3-6 months, and they won't need another coach ever again.

However, when someone responds with 'I'll think about it,' even when it's evident that my program can change their lives, it usually boils down to:
A) Lack of trust in me.
B) Self-doubt.

There's no middle ground.

Especially when they've mentioned they are ready to invest a certain amount in themselves.

The purpose of these zoom calls isn't to convince someone to join my program.

If they don't trust me or lack the belief in their own abilities to take action, they might not be the right fit for my program.

By the way, I understand self-doubt!

I experienced some self-doubt when I hired my mentor 15 months ago. The difference is, I took action despite it.

When you have the right support, a community, and accountability, results are virtually guaranteed.

The only thing standing in your way is the failure to take action.

Did this resonate with you?

** I am launching a group coaching program with another coach and we'll be revealing more details soon.

If you want to know more about it, comment "CURIOUS πŸ€”" and I'll send details your way.

Today is Day 1 of my fat loss journey.

Currently, I'm at about 90 kilos, and I aim to reach 82 kilos by year-end, and achieve a single digit body fat % like I did in 2016 when I won Mr. Karachi east. (Swipe to see how I looked then). πŸ™Š

My short-term goal is 84-85 kgs until my birthday next month, a 6-week aggressive cut, followed by a gradual approach - this is when I'll ease into it a bit and the maintain.

Here's to the challenge! πŸ₯‚πŸ’ͺ🏽

DM me if you want to join me on this quest! πŸ’―
