Ahmed Ali (Ahmed Ali Khan) is a Pakistani boxer born in 1981 who rose through the national circuit representing the Pakistan Army. He qualified for the 2004 Athens Olympics in the middleweight (75 kg) division, where he faced future world champion Gennady ā€œTriple Gā€ Golovkin in an early-round bout, losing on points but earning wide recognition for competing against a future legend.
His biggest career achievement came at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, where he won a silver medal in the 75 kg category. Over the years he collected numerous national titles and international medals, becoming one of Pakistan’s most consistent amateur boxers.
Ahmed ended his competitive career on a high note, winning gold in the super heavyweight (+91 kg) category at the 2019 National Games—his final fight before retiring.
Today, he spends his days coaching the Pakistan Army boxing team, mentoring young fighters and passing on the skill and discipline that defined his career.
