پاکستان فزیکل ڈس ایبلٹی کرکٹ ایسوسی ایشن (پی پی ڈی سی اے)

پاکستان میں کرکٹ صرف ایک کھیل نہیں بلکہ ایک جذبہ ہے۔ یہاں تقریباً ہر شخص، خواہ وہ جوان ہو یا بزرگ، کرکٹ سے گہری محبت رکھتا ہے۔ ایسا محسوس ہوتا ہے جیسے کرکٹ لوگوں کی رگوں میں دوڑتی ہو۔ شائقین پاکستان کے ہر کرکٹ میچ کو جوش و خروش سے دیکھتے ہیں، اپنے گھروں سے بلند آواز میں ٹیم کی حوصلہ افزائی کرتے ہیں یا اسٹیڈیم میں بیٹھ کر بھرپور انداز میں اپنی ٹیم کی حمایت کرتے ہیں۔

حال ہی میں میری نظر پاکستان کی ایک ایسی کرکٹ ٹیم پر پڑی جس نے مجھے بے حد متاثر کیا — پاکستان فزیکل ڈس ایبلٹی کرکٹ ایسوسی ایشن (پی پی ڈی سی اے)۔ اس کے بارے میں جاننے سے پہلے مجھے یہ معلوم ہی نہیں تھا کہ پاکستان میں جسمانی معذوری کے حامل کھلاڑیوں کے لیے بھی ایک قومی کرکٹ نظام موجود ہے۔

پی پی ڈی سی اے کیا ہے؟
پاکستان فزیکل ڈس ایبلٹی کرکٹ ایسوسی ایشن (پی پی ڈی سی اے) پاکستان بھر میں جسمانی معذوری کے حامل کھلاڑیوں کے لیے کرکٹ کے فروغ اور انتظام کی ذمہ دار سرکاری تنظیم ہے۔ تاہم، اس کا کام صرف ٹورنامنٹس کے انعقاد تک محدود نہیں۔

پی پی ڈی سی اے ایسے افراد کو مواقع فراہم کرتی ہے جنہیں اکثر معاشرہ ان کی جسمانی معذوری کی وجہ سے کم سمجھتا ہے۔ یہ ادارہ ایک ایسا پلیٹ فارم مہیا کرتا ہے جہاں یہ کھلاڑی اپنی صلاحیتوں کا مظاہرہ کر سکتے ہیں، اپنی محدودیتوں پر قابو پا سکتے ہیں اور ان لوگوں کو غلط ثابت کر سکتے ہیں جو ان کی صلاحیتوں پر شک کرتے ہیں۔ کرکٹ کے ذریعے یہ کھلاڑی اعتماد، مقصد اور شناخت حاصل کرتے ہیں۔

ملکی ٹورنامنٹس اور ترقی:
پی پی ڈی سی اے، پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ (پی سی بی) کی نگرانی میں کام کرتی ہے، جو ایسوسی ایشن کی انتظامی اور تربیتی ضروریات پوری کرنے میں معاونت فراہم کرتا ہے۔ تنظیم ملکی سطح پر مختلف ٹورنامنٹس منعقد کرتی ہے، جن میں پیپسی پی ڈی نیشنل ٹی 20 کپ شامل ہے، اور ساتھ ہی ٹیم کے بین الاقوامی دوروں کا بھی انتظام کرتی ہے۔

ٹورنامنٹس کے علاوہ، پی پی ڈی سی اے کھلاڑیوں کو مستقبل کے چیلنجز کے لیے تیار کرنے کی غرض سے پیشہ ورانہ تربیتی کیمپس بھی منعقد کرتی ہے۔ ان کیمپس میں جسمانی فٹنس، نظم و ضبط، ٹیم ورک اور مہارتوں کی بہتری پر خصوصی توجہ دی جاتی ہے۔

ایسوسی ایشن منظم لیگز اور مقابلوں کے انعقاد کے ذریعے معذور افراد کی کرکٹ کو پیشہ ورانہ معیار تک پہنچانے میں اہم کردار ادا کر رہی ہے۔ اپنے کھلاڑیوں کی جدوجہد اور کامیابیوں کو اجاگر کرکے، پی پی ڈی سی اے دنیا کو یہ پیغام دیتی ہے کہ یہ کھلاڑی پاکستان سپر لیگ (پی ایس ایل) یا قومی ٹیم کے کھلاڑیوں سے کسی بھی لحاظ سے کم نہیں۔ ان کا عزم، دیانت داری اور کھیل سے محبت انہیں مثالی رول ماڈل بناتی ہے۔

بین الاقوامی دورے اور کامیابیاں:
پی پی ڈی سی اے کی کامیابی کا ایک بڑا ثبوت اس کا شاندار بین الاقوامی ریکارڈ ہے۔ پاکستان کی جسمانی معذوری کے حامل کھلاڑیوں پر مشتمل کرکٹ ٹیم نے نہ صرف ملک کے اندر بلکہ بین الاقوامی سطح پر بھی پاکستان کی نمائندگی فخر اور کامیابی کے ساتھ کی ہے۔

ٹیم کا پہلا بین الاقوامی دورہ 2010 میں ہوا جب اس نے ملائیشیا اور سنگاپور کا سفر کیا۔ یہ دورہ ایک اہم تعلیمی تجربہ ثابت ہوا اور خطے میں مسابقتی بین الاقوامی معذور کرکٹ کی بنیاد بنا۔

اسی سال پاکستان نے تاریخ رقم کرتے ہوئے انگلینڈ کے خلاف پہلی بین الاقوامی ڈس ایبلٹی کرکٹ سیریز میں شرکت کی۔ اس کے بعد 2014 میں دبئی میں واقع ICC اکیڈمی میں ایک اور اہم سیریز کھیلی گئی۔ ان شاندار کارکردگیوں نے پاکستان کو دنیا کی مضبوط ترین ڈس ایبلٹی کرکٹ ٹیموں میں شامل کر دیا۔

2015 میں پی پی ڈی سی اے نے پاکستان۔افغانستان بین الاقوامی ڈس ایبلٹی کرکٹ سیریز کا انعقاد کیا اور اس میں حصہ بھی لیا۔ ٹیم نے 2015 سے 2019 کے دوران کئی عالمی ٹورنامنٹس میں بھی شرکت کی۔

پاکستان نے 2015 میں بنگلہ دیش میں منعقد ہونے والے تاریخی ICRC انٹرنیشنل کرکٹ ٹورنامنٹ میں شاندار کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کیا، جو خصوصی طور پر جسمانی معذوری کے حامل ایتھلیٹس کے لیے منعقد کیا گیا تھا۔ بعد ازاں 2018 سے 2019 کے دوران انگلینڈ میں ہونے والی فزیکل ڈس ایبلٹی ورلڈ کرکٹ سیریز میں بھی کامیابی کے ساتھ حصہ لیا، جہاں ٹیم نے انگلینڈ کے مشہور کاؤنٹی گراؤنڈز، بشمول ورسٹرشائر، میں مقابلے کیے۔

آئندہ ایونٹس اور مستقبل کے منصوبے:
پی پی ڈی سی اے مستقبل میں مزید بڑے مواقع اور بین الاقوامی مقابلوں کی جانب پیش قدمی جاری رکھے ہوئے ہے۔ آنے والے چیلنجز کے لیے کھلاڑیوں کو تیار کرنے کی غرض سے انتظامیہ نے حال ہی میں 20 رکنی تربیتی کیمپ کا انعقاد کیا، جس میں جسمانی فٹنس، نظم و ضبط اور حکمتِ عملی پر خصوصی توجہ دی گئی۔

یہ تمام اقدامات اس بات کو یقینی بناتے ہیں کہ ٹیم اعلیٰ ترین سطح پر مقابلہ کرنے کے لیے مکمل طور پر تیار رہے اور پاکستان کے لیے مزید اعزازات حاصل کرتی رہے۔

معاشرے کے لیے خدمات:
پی پی ڈی سی اے معاشرے کو واپس لوٹانے کی ایک بہترین مثال ہے۔ کرکٹ کے ذریعے یہ تنظیم صرف ٹیمیں ہی نہیں بنا رہی بلکہ ایک ایسی معاون کمیونٹی بھی تشکیل دے رہی ہے جہاں جسمانی محدودیتوں کے بجائے صلاحیتوں کو اہمیت دی جاتی ہے۔

یہ ایسوسی ایشن حوصلے، عزم اور اعلیٰ درجے کی کھیلوں کی صلاحیتوں سے بھرپور متاثر کن کہانیوں کا مجموعہ ہے۔ اگر سوشل میڈیا پر اس کی موجودگی مزید مضبوط ہو، اسپانسرشپ میں اضافہ ہو اور ملکی و بین الاقوامی دوروں کے دوران کھلاڑیوں کی مسلسل معاونت جاری رہے تو پی پی ڈی سی اے مزید ترقی کی بے پناہ صلاحیت رکھتی ہے۔

پی پی ڈی سی اے کی حمایت کرنا اور اس کے سفر کو فالو کرنا پاکستانی کرکٹ کے ایک نہایت متاثر کن پہلو سے جڑے رہنے کا بہترین طریقہ ہے۔ ان کی داستان ہمیں یاد دلاتی ہے کہ اگر انسان کے پاس ہمت، عزم اور جذبہ ہو تو کوئی بھی رکاوٹ ناقابلِ عبور نہیں ہوتی۔

جو لوگ حوصلہ افزائی حاصل کرنا چاہتے ہیں یا بے مثال جذبے کے ساتھ کھیلی جانے والی اعلیٰ معیار کی کرکٹ دیکھنا چاہتے ہیں، ان کے لیے پی پی ڈی سی اے کو فالو کرنا ضرور قابلِ قدر ہے۔ اب وقت آ گیا ہے کہ ہم ان گمنام ہیروز کو بھی اسی جوش و جذبے سے سراہیں اور ان کی حوصلہ افزائی کریں جس طرح ہم کسی بھی دوسری کرکٹ ٹیم کی حمایت کرتے ہیں۔

In Pakistan, cricket is more than just a sport — it is an emotion. Almost everyone, whether young or old, shares a deep passion for the game. It feels as if cricket runs through the veins of the people. Fans watch every Pakistan cricket match with excitement, cheering loudly from their homes or supporting their team passionately from the stadium stands.

Recently, I came across a cricket team in Pakistan that truly inspired me — the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA). Before learning about them, I had no idea that Pakistan also had a national cricket setup for physically disabled players.

What is PPDCA?
The Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA) is the official organization responsible for promoting and organizing cricket for physically disabled players across Pakistan. However, their work goes far beyond simply managing tournaments.

PPDCA provides opportunities to individuals who are often underestimated by society because of their disabilities. They create a platform where these athletes can showcase their talent, overcome their limitations, and prove wrong those who doubt their abilities. Through cricket, these players gain confidence, purpose, and recognition.

Domestic Tournaments and Development:
PPDCA works under the supervision of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which supports the association by fulfilling its operational and training needs. The organization arranges domestic tournaments such as the Pepsi PD National T20 Cup and also manages international tours for the team.

In addition to tournaments, PPDCA organizes professional training camps to prepare athletes for upcoming challenges. These camps focus on fitness, discipline, teamwork, and skill development.

The association is helping disabled cricket reach professional standards by hosting structured leagues and competitions similar to mainstream cricket. By highlighting the journeys and achievements of their players, PPDCA shows the world that these athletes are no less talented than players competing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) or even the national team. Their determination, integrity, and passion make them extraordinary role models.

International Tours and Achievements:
One of the greatest proofs of PPDCA’s success is its impressive international record. Pakistan’s physically disabled cricket team has not only competed at home but has also represented the country internationally with pride and success.
The team’s first international tour took place in 2010 when they visited Malaysia and Singapore.

This tour became an important learning experience and laid the foundation for competitive international disability cricket in the region.
Later in 2010, Pakistan made history by competing against England in the first-ever International Disability Cricket Series. This was followed by another major series at the ICC Academy in Dubai in 2014. These performances established Pakistan as one of the strongest teams in world disability cricket.

In 2015, PPDCA organized and participated in the Pakistan-Afghanistan International Disability Cricket Series. The team also took part in several global tournaments between 2015 and 2019.
Pakistan performed brilliantly in the landmark ICRC International Cricket Tournament held in Bangladesh in 2015, an event specifically designed for physically disabled athletes. They continued their success in the Physical Disability World Cricket Series in England from 2018 to 2019, where they competed on famous English county grounds, including Worcestershire.

Upcoming Events and Future Plans:
PPDCA continues to look ahead toward bigger opportunities and international competitions. To prepare players for future challenges, the management recently organized a 20-member training camp focused on physical fitness, discipline, and tactical preparation.
These efforts ensure that the team remains fully prepared to compete at the highest level and continue bringing pride to Pakistan.

Giving Back to Society:
PPDCA is a true example of giving back to society. Through cricket, the organization is not only building teams but also creating a supportive community where talent matters more than physical limitations.
The association is filled with inspiring stories of courage, determination, and elite athletic talent. With stronger social media presence, increased sponsorships, and continued support for players during domestic and international tours, PPDCA has the potential to grow even further.

Supporting PPDCA and following their journey is a wonderful way to stay connected with one of the most inspiring sides of Pakistani cricket. Their story reminds us that no obstacle is too great if a person has courage, determination, and heart.
