THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER! 🏆💛⚡
Peshawar Zalmi have officially reclaimed PSL title after 9 long years. What we witnessed at Gaddafi Stadium wasn't just a cricket match; it was a tactical masterclass orchestrated by the greatest minds in the game. While Babar Azam led his troops like a true warrior on the field, the real magic happened in the dugout where the legendary "Brain Trust" of Ottis Gibson, Misbah-ul-Haq, Azhar Mahmood, and Azhar Ali cooked up a winning formula that no one could crack!
The final was pure Zalmi domination from start to finish! Nahid Rana was an absolute beast with the ball, his "Super Power" 2/22 spell completely suffocating the Kingsmen. And when it came to the chase, tge start was sluggish with both openers departing early but, Aaron Hardie played a calm and a world-class knock of 56* while Abdul Samad provided the finishing fireworks with a brutal 48 to seal the deal with 28 balls to spare.
From Sufiyan Muqeem’s magic spin that earned him the Bowler of the Tournament to Farhan Yousaf’s gravity-defying fielding and Babar Azam’s record-breaking 588 runs, every single piece of the puzzle fit perfectly. This trophy belongs to the management’s vision and the players' passion.

At the very start of the tournament, or should I say even before that he was criticised and not only him, the whole franchise was criticised and made fun of what? Making that player captain who doesn't even have a stable record or any extraordinary thing in T20s.
Hyderabad Kingsmen were mocked brutally, they also lost there 4 matches consecutively, no hopes to qualify was said by everyone. But guess what, they didn't gave up. Started winning crucial matches and the tables started to turn with 4 matches won and 5 lost. They not just wanted a last win, it was much bigger than that, to qualify for the playoffs and by the rarest of margins it also occurred.
Eliminated Sultans In 1st Eliminator And Eliminated Islamabad Tonight In An All Time Classic Thriller T20 Match It Could've Been. Last over, damage done before that in the penultimate over and it all came down to once again, Hunain Shah to defend 6 off 6.
And guess what, he did it!!!! Yorkers after Yorkers that trembled Islamabad and Hyderabad Won By 2 Wickets.
What an absolutely crazy season the debutants have had, and now it all comes down to THE FINAL.
On 3rd May The Two Most Dominant And The Most Deserving Sides Collide, It Will Be Peshawar Vs Hyderabad, and let's hope that we get to see a thrilling contest.

Peshwar Zalmi makes a bold statement with a Qualifier win to remember, with all questions were answered, except The Grand Final One.
Babar Azam made every critiquesilent yesterday. 100 off 59 balls with a healthy Strike Rate of 174.58. This is Babar 2.0 in overdrive, playing his natural, elegant game but with an impressive intent.
More than that, it was the National Bank Stadium, Karachi was incredible, unmatched and electrifying fans throughout the stadium. Forget the rumors, the National Stadium was at maximum capacity yesterday. From 9:00 AM ticket sales to a sold-out night, the Karachi crowd once again proved why they are the best. The stands are never empty, and the energy was the heart of the night, and cherry on top was The Yellow Storm moving to the final with all guns blazing.
Today is the first eliminator between Multan Sultans and Hyderabad Kingsmen. With no room of error left behind, let me know your predictions in the comments!

There is something hauntingly beautiful about watching greatness in a silent stadium. Without the roar of the crowd, you hear everything: the crisp "thwack" of the bat, the frantic calls between wickets, and the absolute silence of a bowling attack that has run out of answers. Yesterday, we didn’t just see a hundred, we saw a natural game of a natural player.
100* runs, 52 balls at a strike rate of 192.31. We’ve always known Babar for his elegance, but under the tactical eyes of Misbah-ul-Haq and Ottis Gibson, he has unlocked a new level of aggression. The balance between his traditional timing and this new-age power hitting is exactly what the fans have been waiting for.
It wasn't a solo act, Kusal Mendis played the perfect foil with a blistering 83. A massive 255/3 total, one of the highest we’ve seen, putting Quetta under pressure before the second innings even began. A 118-run victory is a statemen, the bowling unit had been polished by Gibson’s expertise, looked clinical that dismantled Quetta for just 137.
You can see the fingerprints of the support staff all over this scorecard. Misbah’s legendary temperament combined with Gibson’s fast-bowling wisdom has turned Peshawar Zalmi into a balanced juggernaut.
Last year they couldn't even qualified for playoffs and this year they aren't just playing cricket, they are playing "smart" cricket.
Even with the stands empty, the "Yellow Storm" felt louder than ever. If this is the form Babar is carrying, I think it might be sort of a revival. A revival that we all have been waiting for.

Today marks the end of an era as Sarfaraz Ahmed officially retires from international cricket. From a young wicketkeeper in the 2006 U-19 World Cup to lifting the historic 2017 ICC Champions Trophy as Pakistan’s captain, Sarfaraz’s journey has been full of passion, resilience, and unforgettable moments. His fearless leadership brought Pakistan one of the greatest nights in cricket history when they defeated India national cricket team in the final at The Oval.
Across formats, Sarfaraz represented Pakistan with pride, playing 54 Tests, 117 ODIs, and 61 T20Is, contributing both with the bat and behind the stumps. Whether it was his sharp wicketkeeping, fighting knocks in difficult situations, or his famous “Well done boys!” energy behind the stumps, he remained a player who always gave everything for the green shirt.
While his career had ups and downs, his legacy will always be tied to that magical 2017 Champions Trophy victory and the spirit he brought to Pakistan cricket.
As Sarfaraz Ahmed walks away from international cricket, fans will remember him as a captain who believed in his team when the world doubted them.
Thank you for the memories, Kaptaan 🇵🇰

No words 💔
Nothing to say it was complete disaster in all aspects specially in batting, what kind of pressure this was even before the start of innings ???
Shaheen giving away boundaries as always, batting lineup fails and blame is on whomever, but the question arises why Naseem Shah was not played and why he was not preferred over Shaheen, why was Nafay not brought in instead of Nawaz or Shadab??
Have we learned anything after consecutive series wins ??
Now the consequences after this match is that Pakistan needs to win at any cost against Namibia else it will be gameover with USA qualifying for Super 8's.
Hope they bring up something new and fresh in the next game.

Pakistan sealed a strong 32-run win over USA, putting 190/9 on the board, thanks to Sahibzada Farhan’s explosive 73 off 41 and Babar Azam’s composed 46. Shadab Khan’s late fireworks added the perfect finishing touch, giving Pakistan the momentum they needed.
USA responded with fight, led by Shubham Ranjane’s 51 and Shayan Jahangir’s 49, but Pakistan’s bowlers kept things under control. Usman Tariq’s crucial three wickets broke the back of the chase, ensuring USA never really got ahead of the game. Shadley van Schalkwyk was the standout performer for USA with an impressive 4/25 that troubled Pakistan early on.
But despite the win, Pakistan’s flaws were visible. The middle order once again lost momentum after a solid start, collapsing under pressure and wasting a platform that could’ve easily taken the score past 200. Death overs bowling was also inconsistent, leaking runs that allowed USA to stay alive longer than they should have. These are areas Pakistan must fix before tougher matches.
Overall, it was a good win with standout performances, but not a perfect one. Pakistan dominated key moments, yet the lapses reminded us that there’s still work to be done. Still, a win is a win, and the boys in green carry momentum forward towards our next match against arch-rivals India.

T20I - A Game where you can not predict what is going to happen from the past few years, who is stronger who is weaker, who is going to win the game.
Pakistan was literally going to loose the match against Netherlands, 29 were needed of the final 2 overs, with just 3 wickets in hand and then we witnessed a cameo from none other than our clutch player... FAHEEM ASHRAF!!!!
Just one over changed the whole scenario, smoked 3 sixes one four and the tables turned as of the fact that his catch was also dropped, providing him extra boost or confidence whatever you like to call.
I'm just out of words, our batting lineup yet again failed and we were about to witness yet another trauma but thanks to Faheem Ashraf who single handedly made us on the victory side.
On the other end Netherlands also played good cricket, as they could have eventually defended 148.
What a start to our worldcup campaign, fire bowling, so much good at the field, specially the catch by Babar Azam, what a stunner that was. However, the batting failed completely, as the lineup got out on pathetic shots.
Let's see what happens on the next game against USA on 10th February. PAKISTAN ZINDABAD 🇵🇰

Pakistan’s recent series against Sri Lanka tells a story that goes beyond the scoreline. Pakistan won the first match convincingly, the second was abandoned due to rain, and the final saw reduced overs once again shaping the outcome. A 1–1 series result, therefore, reflects conditions as much as cricketing performance.
This brings up a fair question ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026, which is scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka under the hybrid model. Sri Lanka is known for unpredictable weather, and in tournament cricket, rain can have consequences far bigger than in bilateral series. One abandoned match or a heavily reduced game can influence qualification, points tables, and net run rate.
This concern is not about blaming or opposition, rain affects all teams equally in theory. However, in practice, shortened matches increase reliance on toss results, DLS calculations, and quick adaptation factors that can reduce the impact of sustained skill and planning.
Pakistan’s strength often lies in rhythm, building pressure over spells and constructing innings over time. When that rhythm is interrupted, matches can turn into contests decided by circumstances rather than consistency.
The issue therefore is not ability, but uncertainty. If weather interruptions become frequent in a World Cup setting, results may reflect scheduling and conditions more than performance. That is a legitimate concern for any team playing most of its matches in rain-prone venues.
As global tournaments continue to expand, careful planning becomes essential to ensure outcomes are shaped by cricket, not coincidence.

Today’s franchise auction at Jinnah Convention Centre marked an important moment in PSL history, two new teams were officially added for PSL 11 expanding the league and its future potential.
Hyderabad (Team 7) was acquired by FKS Group for PKR 175 Crore.
Sialkot (Team 8) was acquired by OZ Group for PKR 185 Crore.
The bidding process was intense, decisive, and reflective of the growing commercial value of the Pakistan Super League. The confidence shown by investors highlights how far the league has come since its early seasons.
A hybrid model could offer the best of both systems:
Auction for marquee players, allowing franchises to openly compete for top talent.
Draft for the remaining squad, ensuring balance, opportunity, and long-term development.
Such an approach would maintain fairness while adding strategic depth and greater fan engagement to the league. As the PSL expands with new teams, evolving the recruitment system may be a natural next step not a replacement of the draft, but a refinement of it.
💬 Would a hybrid system (auction + draft) improve the PSL, or should the current draft remain unchanged?
