📢 Important Update for Potato Exporters 🇵🇰🥔
Minimum Export Price (FOB) – Potato Revised
PFVA (All Pakistan Fruit & Vegetable Exporters, Importers & Merchants Association) has revised the Minimum Export Price (MEP) of Potatoes after reviewing current ground realities including bumper crop, surplus supply, price decline in local markets, and export conditions.
🔹 New MEP (FOB): USD 148 per metric ton
🔹 Effective from: 5th January 2026
🔹 Valid till: Further notification
This decision supports exporters in remaining competitive in international markets while reflecting current demand & supply dynamics.
📌 The MEP will be reviewed periodically and adjusted if market conditions change.

Punjab government has allocated Rs 810 million to develop 20 special livestock and meat processing zones to enhance meat exports. Officials say the initiative will improve production standards, cold storage, and export compliance. The zones are expected to increase foreign exchange earnings and benefit rural producers. This move aligns with efforts to modernize Punjab’s agri-food sector.
