Swimming and Waterpolo at LUMS!! This is the Official group for Swimming & Waterpolo At LUMS! The last year was the most successful one for waterpolo at LUMS. M.

Waterpolo has been the lifeblood of the various sports bring played in our university. For the last 5 years, LUMS players have achieve numerous honours and accolades in various competitions ranging from intervarsity to domestic titles. Our Waterpolo Team has won the HEC Annual interuniversity competition in two consecutive years. This achievement was possible only due to immense support both from

the LUMS community and administrations. Our greatest moments are countless and they can’t be stated in some short paragraphs. The fact that we players belongs to different academic fields at LUMS which have totally dissimilar schedule and still we managed to put our team in one place twice every week, was a moment in pride itself. The commitment displayed by the current Waterpolo team is unprecedented and their future is brightest of all the Waterpolo teams we had in LUMS over the last decade. Their on-field and off-field attitude towards Waterpolo has renowned and renew Waterpolo enthusiasm in the general student body. Below are some of the highlights of what we achive last year:
1) WON HEC Intervarsity by thrashing University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in the Final played at their home soil.
2) Bronze at the Sports Fest’09, Istanbul, Turkey.
3) Bronze at the first ever Waterpolo tournament organize by SLUMS.
4) Bronze at the Aitchison College Waterpolo Challenge. We want to go one step further than last year, in terms of organizing big events and also winning big events too! The Waterpolo practice will take place thirce every week (i.e saturday,Sunday and Tuesday/ wednesday). The practice sessions consist of drills, friendly matches and stamina building. The practice sessions are open to everyone who know swimming and can try to learn waterpolo. Last year, we turn some players from scratch to one of the best waterpolo player in Pakistan in a year. Recent Update.

This summer, we plan to formulate a new waterpolo team. Anyone who is interested and has past experience of waterpolo can inbox us. We would have regular sessions from 1 June '14. We also aim to go on an international trip.
