π Capacity Building Session β District Loralai
SEHER, with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), successfully conducted a One-Day Interactive Capacity Building Session on law enforcement agency Police Officials in Loralai.
The session focused on enhancing the knowledge and capacity of law enforcement officials regarding refugee protection, human rights, and protection-sensitive practices through interactive discussions and learning activities.
We appreciate the active participation of all officials and remain committed to promoting awareness, inclusion, and community protection.

This month, SEHER PLAS continued its mission of empowering vulnerable and marginalized communities across Balochistan through legal aid, awareness sessions, protection services, and community engagement activities.
With the support of partners including IOM and local stakeholders, our teams reached communities in Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Killa Saifullah, and surrounding districts to provide legal assistance, conduct awareness sessions, organize legal camps, and strengthen coordination with lawyers and institutions for the protection of human rights and dignity.

β’ Conducted legal aid camps and awareness sessions for Afghan refugees, migrants, women, and vulnerable families
β’ Strengthened coordination with legal professionals and district authorities
β’ Expanded outreach activities across multiple districts of Balochistan

The Society for Empowering Human Resource (SEHER) proudly shares a glimpse of its ongoing commitment to human rights, legal protection, and community empowerment across Balochistan.
Throughout April 2026, SEHER continued its mission of supporting vulnerable and marginalized communities including women, children, refugees, minorities, differently-abled individuals, and people living in difficult circumstances. Through rights-based interventions, legal aid, advocacy, awareness sessions, and field outreach, the organization strengthened access to justice and protection services for hundreds of individuals.

Conducted 256 field visits including courts, police stations, camps, and checkpoints

Facilitated legal documentation and protection support for Persons of Concern (POCs)
π SEHERβs dedicated legal and protection teams worked tirelessly across multiple districts of Balochistan to provide immediate support, counseling, referrals, and legal assistance to vulnerable families and refugees facing detention risks, deportation threats, and protection challenges.
π Success Story:
One of the major achievements this month included the successful relocation and protection of a high-risk refugee family in Chaghi through timely legal intervention and coordination efforts. The case was appreciated by UNHCR partners as a strong example of effective humanitarian response and protection advocacy.
π€ With a team of committed professionals and regional offices across Balochistan, SEHER continues to empower communities by promoting equality, dignity, justice, and social inclusion.

β’ Provided 167 legal aid services and facilitated 146 walk-in cases
β’ Conducted 244 field visits including police stations, courts, check posts, and holding camps
β’ Reached 703 beneficiaries through outreach and protection activities
β’ Supported Afghan refugee families through mediation and legal intervention during peak deportation challenges

We are proud to share key achievements under our Advice & Legal Aid Center (ALACβUNHCR) Project in Balochistan for the period 1st Mar β 31st Mar 2026.
During this month, SEHER:
π Responded to 2,014 helpline calls
πΆ Facilitated 146 walk-in clients
βοΈ Provided 167 legal aid interventions
π Conducted 244 field visits (police stations, courts, check posts & holding camps)
π» Delivered 02 radio programs for awareness and outreach
Our team also played a vital role during peak deportation periods, ensuring timely legal assistance and protection for vulnerable individuals.
Success Highlight:
Through effective mediation on 17 March 2026, two Afghan refugee families detained after a dispute in Mari Abad were successfully released the same day. This intervention highlights SEHERβs commitment to peaceful conflict resolution and safeguarding human rights.
At SEHER, we remain committed to empowering marginalized communities, protecting the rights of refugees and asylum seekers, and promoting access to justice across Balochistan.
