Após o sucesso das duas primeiras edições do torneio, Stefan Schwarz e a Sporting Events Limited irão realizar a 3ª edição do The atlantic cup. Três formações irão disputar a vitória na prova, enquanto as duas outras vão realizar jogos amigáveis. Entre estas, está o Sporting Clube Farense que volta aos jogos europeus na atlantic cup.
