When the room is small, your instructor can actually see you. Not in a metaphorical way - literally see your shoulders, your alignment, the way you’re shifting weight without realizing it. They can come over, place a hand, adjust an angle, and stay with you long enough for it to actually change something.

That matters most when you’re new. The first few classes are when your body is learning what “right” feels like — and that’s not something that lands from across a busy room.
