Warming up for the big celebration

The Grand Departure and the main gathering will take place in Caminha in five weeks, but the community spirit has already begun in the GRANDIAGONAL by Evoc Riders Group created on WhatsApp where registered riders are connecting.
Messages are already flowing in from all corners of the world, with participants sharing experiences and photos from the spots where they train for the GRANDIAGONAL by Evoc challenge.
It’s the warm-up for the celebration of bikepacking community that will take place in Caminha, before the start and along the backroads of Portugal during the 3rd week of June.

TOUGH NUTS TO CRACK

Before to send all the details about the route and the GPX file - the profiles of the most challenging climbs along the entire GRANDIAGONAL by Evoc course were shared with all the riders.
This information may be usefull in helping each one to choose the cassette and chainrings set to tackle the challenge.
In addition to categorizing each climb using the most common international criteria , the “tough nuts” are rated according to their difficulty (from one to four nuts).
Of course, not all of the route’s climbs are in this list - there are many others, and they add up to a total of over 16,000 meters of elevation gain.
Only the toughest ones are included in this list. That’s why we’ve dubbed them the “tough nuts” of the GRANDIAGONAL by Evoc.
