In a nail-biting 22-over contest, Lions Cricket Club defeated mighty Taprobane Cricket Club by 4 wickets via the DLS Method.

After winning the toss, Taprobane CC posted 154 all out in 21.2 overs, with Darshana Hewawasam top-scoring with 40 off 31 balls, while Thishanth Kumar (3/43) and Mohammed Sharaf (2/21) led a brilliant Lions bowling and fielding effort.

In reply, Lions CC reached 128/6 in 18.4 overs when play was stopped due to the allotted time. Isuru Silva top-scored with 43, while skipper Iqi Lalloo's quick 29 and their vital 60-run partnership off 42 balls kept Lions firmly in the contest.

Anuja was Taprobane’s standout bowler with 3 wickets, but Lions held their nerve to seal a thrilling 4-wickets win.
